Edit: I should say, I made this with a thought in mind from another thread that was "What if McDavid asks for a trade?" McDavid or Eichel can only be at one place at one time. Giving up Petersson, Hughes, Horvat, Miller, Schmidt, Lind, plus 3 1st round picks isn't worth it. Neither of these superstars have the ability to take their current teams to the next level, at least so far. I wouldn't bet the farm on them. Maybe even Edm retains 1 or 2 mill on McD, & LA adds more assets. Then do my Edm/Ott deal.. Edm may's well dredge the cap canal-floor, gaining as many young assets as they can. At least they can always live in 1980's nostalgia. ********************Finally let's all admit the elephant-in-the-room************************* Many Cdn outposts have become undesirable locales, a tier or two below their US counterparts. These F***ing b*stards have turned over 50% of the Cdn franchises into Fr***ing farm teams in this rigged-deck league.
