We are thrilled to bring in Charlie to our organization. We had planned for Ivan Fedotov to earn the backup role, but his unfortunate circumstances had led to us needing an NHL backup. We hope Charlie will step up for us in this role.

Signed by IRL Colorado, we are hoping that he can earn a spot on their roster as a cap friendly option. He had 43 points in 49 games last season in the KHL and we hope he can replicate some of his skills that he did in the KHL.

We are excited for the future of Simon Knak. He will likely captain the Swiss team in their upcoming World Junior tournament and he has shown some decent promise playing in a men's Swiss league. We hope he can bring more clutch goals to our organization like he did in his Game 7 playoff game this season.

We look forward to developing Burnaby's Massimo Rizzo's game. Also what a name! He had 36 points in 39 games in his recent NCAA season. Had a good showing in development camp for Carolina as well.

We have had our eye on Semyon Chistyakov since watching him in the World Juniors. We hope that he will one day make the jump over to the NHL. We are excited to see his progression.

TRADE ANNOUNCEMENT

To VGK:

Matt Murray

Drew Commesso

Lawson Crouse

Pierre-Oliver Joseph

2023 1st (Buf)

To TBL:

Ilya Sorokin

Connor Murphy

Patric Hornqvist

Sean Kuraly

Jake Leschyshyn

First and foremost, big thanks to @andyseppfor what were real smooth and quick negotiations. This was something that I think really took us back when we reached out about the services of Sorokin. Understandably that Vegas was not to thrilled about the idea, but once they heard us out and saw some of the pieces we were willing to move, things escalated from there and took no time at all! This trade is one of those, Hate it because of who you lose, but love it because of who you gain. We feel this deal has really changed the trajectory of our plans, as this has really put the retool we were looking to make, now into high gear. We are sad to see some great youth leave Tampa Bay in the likes of Commesso who we were really high on, Crouse who had an amazing year last season, and PO Joseph, who we fell Vegas is getting a stud of a dman in. However, to look at it in the spotlight, not bad dealing Seth Jones for Jonathan Lekkerimaki and Ilya Sorokin! Welcome to the team Ilya, Patric, Sean, Jake and Connor. We still look to be active on the trade front, and with these acquisitions, it gives us a few more options when it comes to some deals. Again, thank you Vegas, and good luck heading into next season!

We are beyond ecstatic to welcome, and lock up Ilya Sorokin to a monster long term deal. Ilya is the face of the franchise in Tampa Bay, and we feel that Ilya will be tha face of the league along the likes with Andrei Vasilevski and Igor Shesterkin. We believe in acquiring Sorokin that he will be, if not already close to a top 3 goalie in the league for years to come. We could not be more excited for next season and our future!

OTB in Tampa include:

Devon Levi
Patric Hornqvist
Phil Kessel
Benjamin Baumgartner - FREE
Toni Utunen -FREE
Theo Rochette - FREE
Jordy Bellerive - FREE
Yanni Gourde
2023 TBL 1st
2023 TOR 1st
2024 TBL 1st

We are looking for a couple top 4 D, A solid Backup goalie as it looks as though Lankinen will get the job in NSH, and more

Levi is garnering a lot of interest and Ideally we move him for young up and coming D. We are high on Levi so we will take our time to find the right deal

The 4 prospects that are free, if it helps, we can include a 2024 4th for any teams troubles

Phil Kessel/Patric Hornqvist - As we cannot retain, we are willing to take cap back, but these players are not cap dumps and still hold value to us

Yanni Gourde does have a LNTC - so inquire within and I will check to see w if he is willing to waive to your team
