JT extending and OEL at a more reasonable # with term is a significant addition to a team with plenty of young talent looking to make an impact, they want back into the playoffs. They keep 6OA and hope to draft a D to replace Boqvist. OEL and Werenski make a slick top pair. Miller plays with Laine and Voracek… damn. Definitely no to any retention on OEL whose contract runs for 36 more years seemingly. But if a team said we needed to retain 1.5 or 2mil for 1 season on Miller in order for a deal to happen where we get exactly what we need back - I'd make that work if I was Allvin. Don't wanna retain on OEL that much for so many years. Also he would almost definitely not waive to go to Columbus. Maybe if it was Boston, NYC or Toronto.
