I think we'll see something like this, as others have mentioned:

Pearson - Miller - Boeser

Kuzmenko - Pettersson - Mikheyev/Podkolzin

Garland - Horvat - Mikheyev/Podkolzin

Joshua/Hoglander - Lazar - Dickinson

Lockwood

Hoglander could also move up to the top line with JT and Pearson can be moved down to the 4th line. Joshua would then be a healthy scratch. The nice thing with Hogz is that he's versatile and can slide in with any of the top 3 centres with ease.

Our d-pairings are fairly self explanatory assuming Hughes works out on the right side:

OEL - Hughes

Dermott - Myers

Rathbone - Schenn/Poolman

We're still lacking a quality top 4 defenseman whether it's on the left or right. (Ideally right)

Demko

Martin

Silovs or DiPietro as the 3rd stringer and injury call-up.

Overall I'm liking what I see. Our forward group could use a little bit more bite and our defense, mind you not great, can get the job done on most nights. Boudreau was able to improve our overall team defense and brought down our goals against number since taking over from Green.

Desperately needs more sandpaper in top 6.  And, defense is way too small.  Rathbone on a d already with undersized hughes and dermitt is just going to get us wrecked. Hopefully we see one of two a legit top 4s aquired

How big were (are) the Avs’ top four D?  Is there one over 190?

The difference is the top 4 and their entire forward group are crazy fast..

Our forwards some are fast.. but overall they are not that fast.. and the defense other than than Hughes.. they are all pretty slow.. Myers is not fast, schenn is not fast. OEL is not as fast as he used to be.. and slower than the Colorado top 4.

if u ain’t big you at least want to be fast. We are neither big nor fast. We have some fast players but overall as a team we ain’t fast compared to the faster teams in the league more like in the middle or slightly above average

You really want to compare out d to the avs?  We dont have makar, toews, manson, byram, girard.  Easily the best top four/five in a decade.

Unless Hoglander lights it up the first week or so with Brock out I think he is destined for Abby. First call up though.

This is of course unless we make a trade.

On D

Schenn- Hughes

OEL - Myers

Rathbone , Poolman Burroughs, Keeper, whichever one doesn't crap the bed last game. We do need RHD but... waivers are coming with teams having to get down to numbers for the regular season.

Demko

Martin
