Like 5 of those were on the penalty kill, which is getting absolutely obliterated because we lost 3x NHL calibre defensemen to injury.

He hasn't played great, but he's hardly at fault for all 8 of those goals.

In an ideal world, Miller doesn't even play on the penalty kill, its not like he's a defensive-minded forward.

True, but he was signed to an $8 million per, for the next 7 years; so if people are talking about cap space- that is a bunch of it.

Mikheyev is another bunch.

The others were all cheap signings, but still total a fair amount by themselves.

over $16 mill. Hard to complain about a lack of cap space, when they signed just under 20% of the total cap themselves.

Really hoping Miller gets it together, I had thought the team would get 3 years of good value, but his start is not trending the right way.

Not sure if Myers is playing tonight, but I think Mikheyev is.

EDIT:  VC above is showing Poolman and Myers in warmup.  Would be a HUGE boost if Mikheyev, Myers, and Poolman are all good to go.

Tyler Myers is rumored to be on an airplane to join the team. Wouldn't be tonight but maybe the last.

Great!  Let’s hope he gets being a passenger out of his system before the game.

With our coach all the best players play pk and pp so miller better start knowing his role on both.

That's one strategy, the other is putting players in a position to succeed.

Petey is much better defensively than Miller, as is Horvat (out of our top-6 forwards). We also have Mikheyev and Lazar who are both well known for being excellent penalty killers. Aman is young, and already has the defensive instincts to get good at it.

Either way, the problem hasn't been our forwards by and large. Its the fact that our right side got completely destroyed by injury, and our blue line wasn't NHL caliber. You cant expect us to win games with a right side of Schenn, Burroughs, Juulsen.

There is no way Myers is 100% he was projected to be out for much longer.

Myers must've watched the first three games and said "Screw this, me at 70% is still better than what we were running."
Hope he's not being rushed into the lineup in desperation and reaggravates his injury,

Yes and with 3 poolmans, we can go for 9 games!

3x3 = 9

quick maths

Get 27.3 Poolmans x 3 = 82 games = ‘and picking Conner Bedard 1st overall, the Vancouver Canucks!  Oops, sorry everyone, we just heard from head office, apparently there was a dead bug stuck to the ball, Canucks are actually drafting 13th now’.
