Could not be further from the truth. Japan has 1 single player who plays on a big club in europe, and Arsenal has been middling out the last 5 years. Germany is a juggernaut of talent. Germany choked, and have been choking on the WC stage since 2018, simple as that. Respect to Japan who never gave up and have built some solid chemistry throughout the years, but their overall talent is far behind that of European nations.

We can agree to disagree, but Kamada and Mitoma, as just some of a few names, have been some of the best talents in Europe for the past 18 months.  They won't be at Frankfurt and Brighton (respectively) for much longer.  And if a big club is your barometer, Minamino just left Liverpool.  Itakura was City property up until July, and Kubo came up through Barcelona and Real Madrid (just left this past summer window).

Conversely, this Germany team hasn't truly been elite since their WC win. IMO, they got by for many years by having Neuer and Kroos at the core of the team.  As it stands, Musiala is probably the only bright spot on that team.  Could extend to Moukoko, Wirtz, and Wanner, and maybe a few more born in the 2002-2007 range, by 2024.  That's not to say they don't have quality right now - they obviously do with players like Gnabry, Sane, and to lesser extents, Schlotterback (had a bad game, though), Havertz, Raum, but they're certainly in a down period by their own standards.

Netherlands is the Canucks of the world cup. England is the Leafs of the world cup.  I am cheering for anyone but the previous winners. Ecstatic to see Argentina and Germany losing points.

Is there any free legit stream available of this game ? TSN has it on their subscription app. Which is lame
