The highs in that 3 game win streak were so high and the lows in these wretched last couple teams were so low.

The team is so bi-polar. It’s so tough being a Canuck fan.

Yeah, the team went to a psychiatrist to get medicated out of this funk - he prescribed melatonin.

Bonus points for being inches from being out from under multiple cap anchor contracts and trading them + 9th overall for an untradeable contract that will screw this team for another half decade plus. Just unbelievable. There are many legitimate terrible things to say about Benning but this directive is coming from Aqua. That guy has got to go or we’re going nowhere.

Get we needed an Edler replacement.   That was a result of OJ not working out. If we wanted to pick just one thing that went very wrong in the JB era, that was the pivotal moment.    Covid didn't help much either - but unlike some, it didn't bother me much to move on from the remnants of the last core.   Have to at some point anyways.    OEL is far from the major issue .... letting the cap shed naturally and picking 9th instead, likely meant we picked 9th again last season or higher.   And maybe we'd be seeing some benefit now, maybe not.

JB was a one or two years off.   Team never bottomed out properly because we didn't set an internal cap.   That was just not the right call.   Miller could have been recycled ... don't mind having both him and Horvat as anchors ... but is it the right thing to do?

Lots of hockey left this season, there still is time to fix this.    Only Miller and OEL are fixtures.    The sharks will be circling, JR better start working with Allvin.   Instead of talking.    Team needs a shake up whether or not the double down or decide it's time to blow it up.

Kuzmenko and Horvat are both big chips.  Kuzmo is playing himself into a first round pick this draft right now.   Coleman got one lol.    Horvat a better first rounder from a middling team, plus a grade A prospect plus a roster player back on an expiring deal that could help us tank.    Miller is a big maybe.   Some team might like him still too.    Myers and Brock both become easy to trade once you retain.   Brocks got two more years so that might hurt ... but depends on the return.   Myers it won't matter either way because we likely need a two year tank job anyways.

Makar was drafted, five years later COL won a cup.    Know that's not a realistic expectation.   But we can't expect this team to win a cup as is.    Two top four defenseman away.    And that's with this forward group as is... How can we get two top four defensemen,  without losing a key player?    Only way i see that happening, is by doubling down, and giving up our picks yet again - plus some magical Quin like trades. Podz for a Salo?   As in Peter Scheaffer for Salo and they take Pearson too?    So far neither Stillman or Bear is that.

At least we got ahead of paying cap in the future lol.   Cost us a second rounder.

I’ve shared the same belief. As long as this money hungry prick who honestly could not care less about hockey or the fans is running this team we aren’t doing anything. The entire Aquilini family needs to be disassociated from the Canucks.

That third goal should not have gone in. Stillman watching and doing nothing while they repeatedly shoot on net while Demko over stretches himself trying to stop them. Stillman caused Demko to breakdown like that.

Stillman is a piece of garbage. He has brought nothing good to this team. All bad.

Stillman is very appropriately named. He needs to be permanently scratched. Such a terrible trade.

Allvin could have made a change last season but didn't.   Instead re-upped Brock and Miller.    Probably going to do the same thing with Horvat.   Signed Ilya M, ignored the D but did bring in Kuzmenko.    This team on paper is better than last years.     Marginally.  But better  ... forward group is deep anyways .   It's not just on Jim anymore.

Signing useless Boeser is one of the worst moves this franchise has made in decades.  That contract is the crux of our problems moving forward.  Never seen a player drag so many of his teammates down with him night after night after night.

Well we do have Petterson/Hughes as positives. But this is 8 years of time and 5 top 10 draft picks. So I believe any average GM could have drafted the same. Actually, any GM with 5 top 10 draft picks may have drafted better.

Juries still out for Demko/Podkolzin.

Most hilarious thing is CDC was absolutely flooded with Benning supporters the past 8 years though. Anything Benning does was right in the eyes of this crowd the past 8 years lol.

Boeser supporters were more delusional than benning supporters

Lol.   Two more seasons after this one...no it's not the crux of our problems  .  I can't tell if you're joking or not.   If you want to talk about bad cap, LE of course was ridiculous - 8.22% of the cap and clauses.   Brock's is 8.02% the cap and will be 27-28 his final year, not 35-36... 850ish k less than his qualifying offer ... too much cap for sure, the term is palatable...Of course he's part of the problem, but like others have mentioned, if we just let him walk... and become a UFA, people would be crying bloody murder over it just after JR called the old management group out for doing this.

Did LE ever have even a five game scoring streak with us?  Maybe 3.

I do agree it's time to put him on the market.   With retention even.   One million and we could afford that, and some team likely bites.   He's not much different than Rhino was going to Florida.   A change of scenery might do him wonders...and this year Brock has spent a lot of time on the third line and still got his points.    Personally wish the best for him, and feel that he would and the team would, be better off with a fresh start.

Many of us were fine letting him walk.   Its been obvious for a while now bb6 is too slow and soft for this league.

Every team has a tough schedule and gets tired throughout the season. That was the Panthers 3rd game in 4 nights.

Being tired doesn’t mean you completely forget how to play hockey though. Forget skating they weren’t even able to execute the fundamentals.

The first organ affected by weariness is the brain.
