PunjabiCanucks
Blue Jackets are looking to bounce back after a miserable season and looking at their forward depth- they lack a 2nd line imo. Other then Jenner, Laine, Gaudreau- the offensive skill drops off. Hoping for better seasons from their young talent they could use a semi veteran presence like Boeser/ Garland Trade Option 1: Blue Jackets recieve: Boeser or Garland Canucks recieve: Andrew Peeke --- Trade Option 2: Blue Jackets receive: Boeser or Garland, Rathbone, 2025 2nd rd pick. Canucks Receive: Boqvist Boqvist is an upcoming dman, not the same size as peeke but shows some promise as a younger dman. Thus the additional draft asset and prospect Rathbone -- we dump some cap- get better on the back end with more options
Phil_314
Garland to Peeke has been discussed ad nauseam... apparently Garland is a bum as a smallish winger while Peeke has all the value as a physical, defensive, affordable RHD.
Canucks Curse
I think CBJ is looking more for a 2C using Kent Johnson as a winger and sillnger as a 3C brock I think would be a good fit but that’s not their top need Boqvist is soft and underachieving prob too slight and small to really compete he is waiting for his break out season which may not come yes a garland for peeke trade has been all the talk

I think, both, Boeser and Garland are going to have much better seasons this year.
Miss Korea Bob.Loblaw
You want to give up this... ...for this... Andrew Peeke is getting squeezed out because he doesn't bring enough to the table. He's a shot-blocking machine but you are dead wrong about him using his size. A good shutdown D-man needs to be tough, and unfortunately Peeke just isn't. That's why he's lost his job to Erik Gudbranson. Peeke was getting torched playing top four minutes, and he's gonna get slaughtered out here in the Pacific division. And he's a black hole offensively. It'll just put more pressure on Hughes to carry the attack. That won't work. 1 1
Bobby James
Those are amazing advance stats for Garland lol I'd still do the trade. We need the D and Garland hasn't found a fit in our top 6 so far. We also get some cap. If the deal is so lopsided and Peeke is mid, then maybe we pull in an extra mid round pick too. Unfortunately for Adam, he has only played on Chi and Col, which are both severely bad defensive teams. Almost all the players on either team are in the double digits minus. Peeke may have a bigger frame than Boqvist, but his stats suggest that his defensive game is horrible and his offensive game isn't much better. How does one achieve a minus 41 anyway? The Canucks don't need either player. They need to find a way to acquire Dillon from the Jets!
flickyoursedin
Forget Peeke the guy isn’t very good. Just big and right handed! He’s marginally better than Myers if even at all. If there’s a guy to steal under the radar it’s Adam Boqvist. Young guy who has struggled with injuries to get going and with their offseason additions and young guys pushing he might get lost in the shuffle. If he can stay healthy he could still become a good offensive dman.
