If you look at most Stanley Cup Champions, they all have secondary scorers. With Sturm's consistency (he has 8 20+ goal seasons), he will be quite complimentary to Kesler. He will be one of the main guys the Canucks will look towards to showcase his talents in the playoffs, as he's already been there 9 times.

But in this case, I think Sturm can be a primary scorer. With Kesler/Sedins he is 40-50 goal bound.

I see you're Sturm, and I raise you Rome. Wuddup.

Enough with the stupid sarcasm. Comparing Sturm to Rome is like comparing Gretzky to Glass... what an insult.

There's a reason that the Canucks own #15 is the best player in the NHL right now, it's because he's been divinely blessed by God himself...I hear Marco and Jesus are on good Sturms.

Can't wait till Sturm demands to be sent to AHL Wolves to help do for other Canucks prospects what he's doing for Hodgson.

I don't think this is a fair comparison. They play different positions, and to add to this, Sturm brings more to the table than Rome does. I mean, at least Sturm has 3 hits in 3 games with a 100% FO%. What did Rome bring to the table? A bench warmer?

I was concerned about Sturm's part history of injuries, but then I realized that this show was based upon his life:

I'm glad the majoriy of Canucks fans can see true talent where it is. I look forward to when Vigneault awards Marko with an increased role within the organization.

Marco Sturm is -2 with 0G 0A, 1 shot on goal with 32min in ice time.

Alex Ovechkin is -2 with 0G 1A, 5 shots on goal with 42 min in ice time.

Im not that worried about Sturm, you shouldnt be either.

And Sturm has shown what he's able to accomplish during those games. Hodgson was dangerous every shift when Sturm was on his line, but when AV switched Sturm up for Higgins, Hodgson became completely invisible in the 3rd period this game. What does that tell you about Sturm's influence on the young rookie?

Already 3 games into the season and Sturm is making his mark. Character guy, great signing by GMMG.

What a class act, trying to make Ovechkin feel better about him going to lose the Hart to Sturm this season.

Can we give this guy a Lady Byng to sit next to his future Hart Trophy?

I couldn't believe what I was reading as well. He's been solid but come on. Way too much praise here. Someone said star players don't develop over night. He's had a decade for that. He's not a talent we're developing but has a skill set we required. Need to tone it down a little...

Sturm is not to be underestimated. I hope he doesn't get on CDC here and read posts, otherwise I'd be worried if I were you.
The guy's the piece the Canucks have been waiting for. Can't wait for AV to put him with the Sedins!

I bet you're one of those 13 year old bandwagoners... Sturm has been consistent and one of the best Canucks in each of the 3 games.
