ckamo
We probably didn't deserve to win this game, but we damn sure deserve this medal. I am so proud of this team. I'm sitting in my PJs crying my eyes out from happiness, a first for me...
Jai604
It's funny that you said that. Before I saw your reply, I googled "whats the difference between their and there" (yea, i'll admit that i get mixed up, from time to time)
ckamo
The Canadian ladies definitely deserved the medal, but sure as hell didn't deserve to win this game
Where's Wellwood
Good job ladies! We were robbed in the semi and honestly we robbed this game for bronze. Like I said in an earlier post, it all evens out eventually. Definitely. Can see just how tired they are. Best shot is probably to take it to penalties unfortunately. Tonya Verbeek guaranteed a medal after winning QF.(I think?)
ckamo
In boxing yes, once you make it to the semis, you're guaranteed a medal. However, in wrestling you're not so Tonya Verbeek still has to win in the semi to guarantee a medal or at least win one of her next two matches to win a medal. g_bassi13
They didn't play the best of matches, but this team most certainly deserved a medal after all this.
RUPERTKBD
Thanks for that gif MAK.... BTW: Did anyone catch the feature on Carol Huynh by Rick Hansen yesterday? It told the story of how the Huynh family was brought over to Canada, having no money, not knowing the language or culture and being "adopted" by the community of Hazelton. Very inspiring. My hat is off to Carol and her home town, for an amazing success story, both in sport and in life.
Where's Wellwood
Was thrown off since there were 4 medallists last night in Huynh's weight class?
ckamo
Yeah...kinda strange. So essentially if Verbeek loses her semi then she has to go through even more people to get to bronze?
Jaimito
Verbeek has the blue ball. whatever that means, you get to grab a leg? she is into the gold medal match, guarantee silver!

XXCanucksXX
Canada's soccer team has some good looking players Just a question for everyone, has anyone cried watching the Olympics? Anyone get emotional? I haven't cried, but i did get a little emotional (i guess you can say teary eyed when Rosie Maclennan won Canada's first gold )
ckamo
Cried as the final whistle blew for Canada vs France. Otherwise not really...at least not this year.

hockeyville88
Turning out to be quite the day for Canada Plan was to go back to sleep for a bit after the soccer match but I'm too buzzed now!
Jai604
Didn't cry haha, but almost got a little teary-eyed when the ref blew the whistle for the women's soccer game. Great takedown by Tonya Verbeek. Go for the gold!!!!
Ghostsof1915
Yes I'm petty. I think every time Hope Solo has the ball in the Gold Medal game the Japanese team should be counting in front of the refs. Turnabout is fair play right?
