Kessel might be one, but then who's going to do the checking and run the 2nd line? That's why Kesler is so Valuable, he's a Complete two way center. Only a few guys like him in the league. Datsyuk, Bergeron, and Mike Richards. You saw what Mike Richards got by himself. Wayne Simmonds, Brayden Schenn(5th overall), and a 2nd round pick. Kesler is worth more than Richards, undoubtedly. So underrated because he came back too early from his hip injury. On top of that he would be their number 1 center, number 1 pp, number 1 pk, team Captain for sure. Phil_314 Posted July 23, 2012 Share Posted July 23, 2012 Toronto has some pretty decent assets which could really benefit this team if Vancouver were to acquire them... - overpriced veteran cap dump, I'd think it would be required by Burke to make this trade work (Connolly or Komisarek-- I'd prefer Komisarek T.B.H., he offers more toughness, and within the right system he can become a Matt Greene if he stayed disciplined and gained some strength as he gets knocked down pretty easily) - young, right-handed D with size (Korbinian Holzer or Cody Franson's RFA rights) - I'd also want one of Tyler Bozak, Nik Kulemin or Clarke MacArthur (preferably MacArthur) Optimally, I would go for one of Lu for Lupul, for Kulemin and Holzer plus 2nd, MacArthur, Komisarek and 2nd or Bozak, (Holzer/ Franson) and 2nd. Some of those other deals didn't look too bad though, the ones involving Luongo straight up for a couple half-decent players or practically nothing at all. Trade him to TO for a song MG!
