Vancouver trade: Luongo - 5.3mill cap hit Malhotra- 2.5 mill (UFA next year) Raymond - 2.3mill (UFA next year) Florida trade: Shawn Mathias - 850K (RFA next year) Scottie Upshall - 3.5mill (3 year contract) 1st rounder. This lineup would have way more balance and grit and the skill doesn't drop off dramatically. I'm not one to hate on Ballard, because i know he's a stud, but if we can get foster for a lower price than ballard's contract, it would make sense to move it. He's overpaid and hasn't proven that he can produce consistently, basicly the Mason Raymond of Florida just with more grit and a bigger contract, I would rather just keep Raymond than have him. Not to mention we don't need another 3rd line winger, I like the idea of getting Mattias but it seems like a bad deal from our end.
