Forget fighting. I want to see someone spear him in the guts with their stick and rupture his spleen. Unless he's coughing up blood and being taken out of the rink on a stretcher, I won't be satisfied.

I hope someone other then Weise fights him, Weise would probably lose...

If there's a lockout I don't really see anyone doing anything to him on our team, unless AV lets the leash off some of our players. ( Bieksa, Kassian)

I would like to see Byron Bitz (re-sign), Volpatti , Pinnizzuto , Kassian and Bieksa match up first shift and just start throwing haymakers at BlackHawks.

Take out suspensions on Toews, Keith and Kane and send them to hospital.

Send a message to the League that our stars won't be gooned anymore unless you want to lose your own assets.

Now this I agree with .. eye for eye .. Old Testament on 'em .. :)

Like many people have said. Keith isn't a fighter. So he isn't going to square off with Boom Boom, Kassian or Wiese. So all you are suggesting is the kind of garbage that resulted in the Bertuzzi situation.

I always thought that our reputation around the league was a little unfair but threads like this are what make Canucks fans look bad. No one is going to fight Keith, perhaps more accurately, Keith isn't going to fight anyone. The chance to stand up for Danny was when it happened. Not pre-meditating a beat down 6 months later.

Exactly, and exactly why the Canucks need someone like him. The enforcer DOES have a place in hockey.

But, be prepared for a bunch of "team toughness throughout" responses from the folks on this site, who honestly appear to think that guys like Kevin Bieksa, Max Lapierre, and Dale Weise are actually some sort of deterrent.

Finally .. something I agree with you about .. +! .. :)

Tag team showdown:
Hank and Dank VS. Keith and Bolland

seriously though....if they want to run at the sedins, and keith wont answer the bell....then everyone on our team targets kane.
hes little, and after edler wiped him out during the 3rd series, he was too scared to do anything.

until keith aswers for his cheapshot....kane is toast.
he will step up if thats the case.

There won't be any premeditated fights against Keith. The Canucks don't play that way.

This.

Or if the team is for real Daniel fights his own battles.

Sigh. Here we go again.

No, this team is not feline. This team once had a guy who stuck up for his teammate - his best friend at the time. It ended very badly and cast a black shadow over this team/city for a long time. That never really goes away and, along with the black cloud came a black mark.

Referees don't appear to care for this team and, while some teams can get away with "sticking up for one another", this one can't. Double standards are the only consistency.

It's not that they're feline - it's a damned if you do/don't thing. If they do stick up for each other, it comes with (lengthy) suspensions and that doesn't help anyone in the end. If they don't, posters like you take potshots at them.

Sure, I'd like them to clobber guys like Bieksa used to - but there's a flipside when they do and it's called injury, penalties, suspensions, etc. It's worked against them in the past so they've opted to go a different route. Not because the

Frankly, i'd rather have one of our guys take out Toews for a few.

Toews is a way better/classy guy than Keith.

I think Lapierre will try. If Keith accepts Bieksa's challenge he'll be destroyed. I'm expecting someone will, maybe Volpatti.

Anybody but Weise please.

He has to be one of the worst fighters on our team.

The only plus is he is willing to drop the gloves. He just needs some lessons or something, good god.

RIP RYP

That's right...Keith wno't fight....Let's have Weise or something like that to cheap shot and injuried Teows or Keith...that's the best way to make the Hawks pay..

1. Kassian fought Staubitz last season.
2. I don't think Keith would fight any of those guys because:
I. Bieksa would beat the crap out of him.
II. He wouldn't exchange himself with a bottom 6 guy.
III. I doubt he would fight anyone, Bieksa being the best guess. I could see Burrows challenging him, but I don't think Keith would take it seriously. If Kesler was healthy, maybe, but that's not likely.

Bottom line, he wont fight a guy he's worth far more than or someone good at fighting. But, either way, we'll give him a hard time. I'm sure the twins, especially Henrik, wouldn't mind playing a bit more physical for one game.

Nobody because Keith won't fight.

Disagree,

There is a code in hockey, he knows he cheap shotted Daniel, and a suspension amongst the men doesn't remove you from your obligation to stand in for the retribution. He will fight in the first ten mins, ie the first guy who starts with him and then that will be it, pummeled or not, he won't answer the bell again nor is he technically expected to by the code.

If he doesn't the second rule of the code takes effect, which is now the nucks are allowed to run one of their star players and will, he knows this, the players know this, and that's why he'll have to stand up for himself. You think in the room the hawks won't be saying, get it over with soon, get it out of the way, because its coming, you know it is.

I wish it would be Bieksa. But Keith would decline as he can just ask Stahlberg how it feels to fight Juice!

I think we should just hit him at every chance. Big, huge, legal hits!

I don't think Keith will fight a guy like Weise or Kassian because that is a bad trade-off for his team. I am 100% sure it will be Bieksa vs. Keith at the opening faceoff on centre ice. Nov 15th.

I would prefer to see a game where the Canucks take the body from the opening whistle. Doesn't matter who, just hit guys in a Hawks sweater. Good, solid, clean hits. If Keith is one of them, all the better.

Let them take the instigator penalties
