Wilbur
It's been a few hours, any reports on his injury yet?
brenbowa
I heard that the Hurricanes are down to only 1 goalie in the minors. They have lost both their starting goalies so why no sign someone with experience who will most likely not even play very much anyway.
flamesfaninsurrey
hope it works out for him. He's set financially but hope he finds his game and makes it back to the bigs.

vcrguy
It's been a few hours, any reports on his injury yet? The only person who gets hurt more than him is Booth and we're paying him $4M+. At least NYI coughed up the cash and bought this guy. He has NHL talent, but he has a ball hockey league body that's always breaking down. Good for him, I love it when well paid athletes show they're playing for the love/competiveness of the game and its not just money.
Alexander.Edler
NYI traded Luongo and drafted this guy first overall, and they are still paying him and will continue to do so for awhile, is that right? But I always wanted him to do well, way too many jokes about this guy
Coconuts
I'd like him to succeed. He had the talent, but he just wasn't durable.
NUCKS4CUP 28
DiPietro still remains one of my favorite goalies. I hope to God he pulls it together and is able to make it back to the league. He played quite a few games in a row for Bridgeport last season, didn't he?

apollo
The Charlotte Checkers have released Rick DiPietro from his PTO contract. It is rumoured that it was at his request. He requested?? Wasn't he 0-4 with terrible stats? Can't believe how a guy goes from his status to not being able to crack an AHL team... too bad.

Can't believe how a guy goes from his status to not being able to crack an AHL team... too bad. his status was fabricated by the media and made worse by the islanders lack of depth. what really killed it for him was when HE bought into all of it.
