Big Old Orca
I look at what this 19 year old did on the ice playing against that #19 of the Hawks last night and say he stays up. Lend him to Canada for the tourney and burn up his first year of ELC. He looked good playing against Toews who has won just about everything a player can win. Bo Stays. Hairy Kneel
I don't see anyone else eligible to come up and help us on faceoffs,so lets burn the elc and lend him to the Worlds.
StarGirl
Yes, Horvat is playing really well for being new to the team and everything. I hope he stays, but I'd want to give the other rookies/prospects a chance too...
-- Alexander 89 Mogilny --
I don't mean to overhype Horvat but if he continues to win faceoffs at this rate and play this well defensively I feel like he should be the fill in at that 2nd line whenever Burrows is down. Bonino seems to struggle a bit without Burr, and I feel that's because Burrows defensive minded style helps Bones immensely. I know Bonino should've had a goal last night and the lines been okay, but it hasn't been on the same level. And I'm not saying Bo should take Burrows' place on that line. I also pray to god they don't send Horvat back down. His faceoff ability has changed our dynamic so much. He filled one of our glaring holes, we just need a solid top 4 Dman (including Hammer) and I'll be stoked for a deep playoff run. Bo also has a history of being a clutch performer so I think he'd slide seamlessly into the playoff atmosphere.
Pimp C
The thing I've noticed about Canucks fans is you guys overreact so much. A week ago most people here thought he would be a 3rd line center, now he's gonna be Bergeron. The truth is, he'll be somewhere in the middle of those 2 extremes. Patrice Bergeron is simply just an unrealistic expectation for him. I think he'll be a 50-55 center that can match up against other teams top lines and prevent them from being effective. ROR is the perfect comparison both stylistically, and in terms of what calibre of a player I think he will be.

Horvat will be Horvat. Does he have similarities to Bergeron? Sure, but they'll be different players. I hope people start to accept that.
UFCanuck
Exactly like Ryan O'Relly was in his rookie season.

Thankyou......I think that a lot of Canuck fans are thinking that Bo is going to be the next Trevor Linden or Kesler...Your prototypical power forward...I don't see that. He's going to be a specialist,an expert on draws and shutting down the other teams big guns..A strong tough player who chips in on the scoring ..You need these kind of players to win championships. blackpluto96
In today's NHL where possession is key, I just don't see why we should send him down when he clearly is already the best faceoff guy on the team.

canucker91
13-16 in the faceoff dot, 8-8 in the defensive zone. 81% overall, and gets 3 assists. That's unreal for the 19 year old. I'm loving his play so far. I really hope we keep him up, he's shown that he's ready to play in the big leagues. Its a tough decision for sure. Funny how it doesn't mention here that he also played almost 15 minute's (for the first time in his stint
messier's_elbow
He had to get SOMETHING right. Bo, Jensen, Shinkaruk, cassles .... Ect gillis wasn't that bad guys give it up.
Baggins
I'll give him Higgins.Lost the rest and Hamhuis was a gift. Player agent Mike was whispered in the ear from the NHLPA . I can't remember when the Canucks had a fourth line that dominated the score sheet. Bit of an eye opener to see Bo putting together a well rounded showing like that. Players come and players go for any GM. Ehrhoff wanted the big score, got it from Buffalo and was bought out. I'd say MG made the right move there. Malhotra's eye injury changed things, and Torres was as big a loss as most make out. Gillis made some smart moves some paid off, some were ok, and some didn't pan out. I don't know of any GM that hits nothing but home runs.
alfstonker
Far too early for a thread like this. We don't even know if he is sticking here yet. If he does, I would far rather wait till the playoffs before making any kind of assessment on Bo. He doesn't deserve to be put under the cynical and short attention span microscope that is CDC at such an early stage in his career. Two bad games and he will be a bust no doubt according to past experience on here.
Buckeye Fruit
To be perfectly honest, I'd love him if he never even developed past where he is. A face off specialist is a great thing to have. Losing Malhotra was a huge nail in our coffin that year.

Alright...Bo is already better at faceoffs then either linden or Kesler in their rookie years, he is way stronger then either of them at the same point. Bo has more hockey sense then either. Bo has more hockey sense then either. Just watch... Kesler is a fine comparison, took 4 pro seasons to really break out offensively but was solid on D from the start. Trevor walked into the NHL as a 18 year old and instantly became our #1 center. He averaged 30 goals per season in 7 of his first 8 seasons (other season was a 48 game lockout, he was on pace for 30). He was an instant leader and became captain when he was only 21 years old. Bo is a hell of a player and might become as good as kesler but he is no trevor linden.
Rollieo Del Fuego
Bo is Bo...he may never be a 30 goal scorer but he will be a 60-80 point player by next year even. He just brings so much to the team that 60 points plus he D. game is enough to put him into elite territory. Just watch....
Oliewud
60-80 points by next year? wow ridiculous expectations lol i'd be thrilled with 30-40 along with 55% on the faceoffs.
