avelanch Posted January 23, 2015 Share Posted January 23, 2015 New Detective comedy on Fox, first episode aired last night and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Kind of like if House and CSI had a baby that was raised by The Office. some good humour, kind of dry at times, some drama, and set in Portland so there are lots of nods to the PNW (lots of rain, a barrista that tells you how you want your coffee, etc.) Did anyone else watch it? It was good enough for me to set a series recording, we'll see how it evolves, hopefully it'll continue to impress and not just fall off. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I like how Backstrom says offensive things...you know basically the stuff that everyone is thinking but doesn't say because they fear the reaction. I have some pretty high hopes on this show as I haven't been hooked to a show since House. Tried to get into Gang Related but it just didn't happen. Yet those friggin reality nonsense shows last forever. Survivor, American Idol, The Voice, Amazing Race etc etc. It's the same bloody show every season. Its frustrating to see those stupid shows continue. I don't get the appeal of them. I was liking Gang Related and it got the axe. Was also in Breakout Kings, and it was cancelled. Though that was early last year I believe. Looks like the rating are up a bit for the last episode, hopefully it will rebound.
