I think there is a dreal to be made their, our needs are a top 4 right shot D and 2/3C, I prefer we move miller. something like Miller+ Rathbone + Mcdonut for Dumba and Eriksson EK we then have to re sign dumba or flip him at deadline which is fine and sign horvat, I would then look to dumb boeser which should be doable as he is a point a game now at 6million or garland. Garland for mid round picks is fine with me if we do a deal like the above.

i like dumba but he is a UFA in the offseason and it sounds like he wants 6x6 at least. He does remind me of Myers are that age, is legit top 4 but not awesome defensively, decently physical and decent offensively but will sk for big money based on one good year and the fact he plays right side.... sound famniliar ? exactly, myers.

that is probably it, they want cap flexibility now. There is clearly a trade(s) they have been wanting to do for months now but cannot open up the cap space to do it.

tbh I think Ottawa and TO would be very very interested in TM if there was some degree of salary retention this year, like a 2nd from TO for Myers with 2 mill retained this year. I would take Simmonds back, park him net front on PP2 then flip him at deadline to some contender with injuries, for a 7th??

Retain 1 million on Myers for rest of contract - gets you a mid to late 2nd. Boeser no retention - for a 2nd and 3rd 2023 Pearson - waive that ought to free up some cap

they didn't get any offers they wanted for boeser, Franky S was spit balling that it was combinations of 2nds and 3rds, but tbh, I would take that now just to get the cap space

I think based on how he has played a lot of teams would easily pay a 2nd... so if multiple teams would then the price goes up, prob 2nd and a B+ prospect but I could see someone paying a 1st, he is legit playing like a top 4 d man right now

3 main reasons we are doing poorly this year: 1. OEL is playing awful 2. Myers is playing awful 3. Demko is playing awful consider this - if we had beat BUF in the first game and MTL we would be essentially in the wild card spot.
