  1. Jake won’t be the odd one out even when Sutter and Roussel are back.
  2. Gudbranson was my most anticipated when he was acquired, although he wouldn’t live up to his billing. while here, Vanek and Miller were my favourite. Vanek was a great mentor who gelled with Boeser and Miller gave us many close games. My favourite was his diving save against Detroit.
  3. Actually I think it’s the exact opposite. he has been playing a good/great 3rd line game. One of the best forecheckers on our team, draws penalties better then most, and can through the occasional hit. Basically an quicker version of the honey badger we all loved. i think that his pedigree of being a 6th overall causes people to call him a bust because he isn’t potting 30 goals a year. Had he been drafted in the 3rd round he would look a lot better. my 2 cents anyway...
  4. Love how Hughes is apparently playing Center. Lol
  5. Goldobin - Pettersson - Boeser Ferland - Miller - Virtanen Baertschi - Horvat - Pearson Beagle - Sutter - Motte Schaller, Leivo (Spares) Rousell (IR) Edler - Myers Hughes - Tanev Benn - Stecher Biega (Spare) Markstrom Demko This Line up spreads our Depth even further. Second and Third line are interchangeable. I don’t see this happening as I think Goldy doesn’t make the roster, but I’d kind of like to see what it could do...
  6. "Even in some opposing rinks I could still hear a lot of fans cheering for me, and the number of fans I've met has been unbelievable," said Woo. "I take it as a positive, people know me, they want to watch me play, want to see how I am off the ice." Every time a fan “Woo”’s he thinks they’re cheering for him. That’s adorable. lol
  7. Although, to be fair Yaks has shown high hopes of the canucks winning the draft to get him. He admired Bure and showed interest in the Canucks...
  8. This is more for teams like Nashville who had 4 defenders they wanted to keep. most though would go the 7-3-1 route.
  9. First Rounders maybe, but not first overalls. But I agree, OJ needs to be given more time.
  10. Actually it’s a very common English phrase. It means that many fans on this board are super short sighted in their views and don’t think long term.
  11. I honestly think that playing with Edler is a part of why EK is even considering signing with us. If Edler walks, I believe it hurts our chances with EK (small chance as it is).
  12. I Disagree that Schroeder plays a small players game. I am not saying that I think he has a place on this team (Although I would like to see him given at least another year before we give up on him), however one of the things that have always been said about him is he plays bigger then his size. He was the strongest in his draft year at the combine and all the scouts said he had amazing upper body strength for his size. I think it's his confidence more then anything that has taken a huge hit. Being misused and injured over the past couple seasons has really slowed his development in my opinion. Also agree with Tas in that our player development has been our worst enemy for a long time now. Both at the AHL and NHL level. A lot of times we look back on players we drafted and talk about busts, but I think personally that some of the "busts" we drafted weren't busts until after going through our system. With Utica now and Benning and Linden, hopefully we can turn tht around...
