    On days like today I hate being paid on salary. I'm spent!

      I can relate. A few weeks ago during year-end, I worked a 60+ hour week, but didn't get any extra because of salary pay. In theory, I have the freedom to work 35 hours or something during slower months, but I have a strong suspicion that's only a pipe dream.

      60+, AJ.. Those are tough. I suppose I could try and claim the same, except my 60+'s are during trade shows and in reality I spend about 30hrs of those weeks being forced to eat and drink (a lot) with my vendors...

      I am so used to salary that in this new job I put in for 80 hours ... actually had 88.  Was a nice surprise when I realized I actually got paid for the extra day in the pp.  Loving my new job.  Boss just told me we shut down over Christmas with pay.  He also spent $7000 on chocolates for staff and clients and gave out bonuses and wine.  Woohoo.  Not used to this.
