  1. excellent observation. For a few fans it has been clear that OEL's numbers dropped over the last couple of seasons. Based on his salary you have to expect more offensive impact from him. Didn't like this trade from the beginnig, but have to admit that OEL is solid defensively and in terms of leadership. Nevertheless still an ineffecive contract.
  2. not to forget that this famous investor is also invested in Crypto (in HBAR and Matic); just look at his shorts and flipflops and the guitar right next to him - priceless - .
  3. one of the most successful investors, bill Miller put 50% of his personal wealth in bitcoin. Mark Cuban, the owner of the Dallas Mavericks (NBA, basketball team) is all in in crypto. 100 software developers recently left Meta (former Facebook) to join Blockchain Projects like Avalanche. These highly talented software developers are smart enough to know that blockchain is the future. Bitcoin will become the number 1 store of value in the coming years. Decentralized finance will rule the world. NFT and the Metaverse will become mainstream. The future for blockchain projects (software projects) looks bright. Like Mark Cuban I am also all in .....
  4. “Ron, a surprise bombshell about Evander Kane being put on waivers with the condition to terminate if he clears it. That will be known at 2 PM eastern if he does clear waivers and it’s a surprise because there have been various points in the last year where there have been rumors about potential buyouts and termination of Kane’s contract and it’s always been denied. So what changed this time, with the support of the National Hockey League, the Sharks are alleging that Kane, who tested positive for the Coronavirus on December 21st, made a flight to Vancouver on December 29th and they are saying he didn’t have permission to take that flight, medical clearance to take it, and that is being disputed. And also they say he was supposed to return to San Jose, the Barracuda’s of the AHL, on December 31st and did not come back until January 6th. Also, that is being disputed. The NHLPA has already said it will appeal if he clears, and the Sharks try to terminate his deal. His agent has said they will appeal, and we’ll have to see where this goes in terms of an arbitrator, and what he or she would decide to rule. But, the story isn’t over no matter what happens and there is going to be a legal fight coming out of this. The other part of this thing Jeff and Ron, is that I do believe there are teams, who if Kane becomes an unrestricted free agent, will want to sign him depending on what the contract would look like, what he wants. I do believe there is legit interest out there, and the league and the players association are going to have to get together and work out a set system that this could happen, cause in theory if he was to win a grievance, he would then have two NHL contracts. So a lot will still unfold here.”
  5. the thread is called "the everything bitcoin thread" and it's almost below this thread. It's basically not only about bitcoin but also on the whole crypto space. Be careful, this market is extremely volatile. Bitcoin price sharply dropped from 69k to 43k over a period of 5-6 months. If you want to invest money in this space you have to be able to deal with this kind of volatility. I currently have six coins in my crypto portfolio and decided to invest in the conservative projects which have not only a high chance to survive the next bear market but also to skyrocket in the next bullrun.
  6. running back rhamondre stevenson and wide receiver Nelson Agholor ruled out for the game against the bills tomorrow. Running back Damien Harris and center Andrews questionable for Pats. Bills currently have eight players listed on the COVID 19, Cole Beasley amongst them. This will be the most important game for the Pats this season. It's like a playoff game. I am super excited watching this game tomorrow.
  7. no need to open up a thread for this and to ask this kind of question. You already know the answer, my friend.
  8. This is just the beginning of the Omicron wave, unfortunately. People 60 years and older getting the fourth dose in Israel in order to get through the omicron wave. 50,000 new cases in Germany, 100,000 new cases in UK , almost the same number of new cases (100,000) in France. This is going to be a very tough winter for all of us, no matter where we live.
  9. Something unbelievable has been happening: Bill actually apologized for being short towards the media in this video. you have to hear it to believe it. I agree that the game against the Colts was extremely frustrating. Curious to see if this team can bounce back against the Bills on Sunday.
  10. With the approval of the Novavax vaccine there are five vaccines approved in the european union. That's acutally good news because some of the european countries face a vaccine shortage. Another vaccine on the market would definitely ease the vaccine shortage and help to get more people vaccinated. Antivaxxers are more and more forced to get the vaccine because they aren't allowed to use the public transport, to enter shopping malls and restaurants. Live is getting harder for these people - it's basically a lockdown light for the antivaxxers but it's likely to become a hard lockdown for them in the next couple of weeks.
  11. this empty net in his first game as a Canuck was a beauty, wasn't it. Even Erik Gudbranson couldn't get to the puck in time before the puck crossed the line. Loui will always be remembered as the player who scored on his own net in his first game in a Canucks jersey.
  12. I guess other NHL franchises are going to take the same approach and circumsize the capacity in their buildings.
  13. Loui - the king - just scored against the Rangers. His first goal of the season. Congrats.
  14. cole sillinger with the number 34 in the lineup as 3C who was drafted in the 1st round by the Jackets this summer.
  15. the user @Boudriaswrote it in another thread: he was at the post office and two women came in at different times without wearing masks and they got served. That's something that it's impossible in Germany. Wearing masks in shops, post offices, restaurants, bank offices ... is mandatory. There are signs at the entrance saying "no masks - no service- no discussion". That sounds harsh but it is effective. That's one of the measures necessary to contain this pandemic.
  16. i am super glad that I will receive my third dose on Thursday. Called the doctor today and asked for a date to get the third shot. They said it's going to be the Moderna vaccine. I replied : i don't care i just want to get the booster.
  17. I would be glad if Genssler from the SEC and the congress come to a resolution soon just to wipe out the uncertainty. DeFi projects have been underperforming this year, mainly due to the uncertainty when it comes to regulation. Prices of other projects are suppressed as well because they might be declared by the SEC as securties with all the consequences this classfication has. For how long has been the ripple lawsuit going on ? It feels like 2 years and this lawsuit hasn't been settled yet. The whole crypto space needs some clarification. Certainty is something lot of investors in this space would embrace.
  18. conflicting statements out there regarding Mark Hunter : The Canucks GM search NHL Watcher: Elliotte Friedman on the 32 Thoughts Podcast on the Canucks GM search: “{Mark} Hunter could be in the middle of this cause they want to be build up their scouting, he knows young players, and also, the other thing about Mark Hunter is if they want him they could probably get him now.” NHL Watcher: Marek had checked around and said that Hunter was not in the mix. Friedman said that he heard from a couple of people that Hunter was in the mix.
  19. Matthew DeFranks of the Dallas Morning News: The Dallas Stars put goaltender Anton Khudobin on waivers. If he clears waivers the Stars will gain at least $1.125 million in salary cap space. He will still carry a $2.208 million cap hit. He’s under contract next season and has been a healthy scratch for the past eight games. Stars GM Jim Nill said they waived Khudobin as they need the roster spot and that he has to play in some games.
  20. Aho missing the Canucks game because of an illness, now we have more information what exactly this illness is:
