I can't believe you even put that poison into your mouth. I haven't had any fast food since forever. I feel sick even driving by a McDonald's and smelling that crap, neve rmind eating it. I may have a Tim Horton's doughnut every once in a while, and one of their egg sandwiches if I am in a rush. Sometimes if I am filling up my car, I may even have a tuna sandwich from the gas station. But McDonald's? God, never...

Am I being a bit too optimistic if I say I think there could be something with this group next year if we add at least 2-3 defensemen capable of playing defense at the NHL level?

Yes, we have most of the forwards we need now. If we can land one of the 3 big centres in this years draft plus a couple of sandpaper guys then we are set up front. Silovs looks like the real deal so I think we are set in goal too. So gotta get probably 3-4 new Dmen this summer. I think it's possible to do that. We would need to buyout OEL an trade Myers to make it happen though to free up all that cap space. Here's hoping that JR/PA can make it work...

imo, players should also carry some risk for their futures.
say a player gets an 8x8 contract
..their base salary should be 5 mil with bonuses to take it 8 mil.
then if their skill decline, so should their bonus money.

Would Carlsson or Fantilli be able to contribute in the NHL year one? I could see canucks finishing as low as 3 if the tank goes well.

Fantilli is on pace to have better numbers than Jack Eichel in his draft year. Also, he is already 18 and is almost one year older than Bedard. He will be 19 by the time next season starts. He will be in the NHL on day one, same as Bedard. I think they will be the only two to play in the NHL next season. Carlsson will stay in the SHL for one more year...

Bedard failed to record a point for the first time in 35 WHL games. 44 goals and 90 points over that span. What a bum.
