    No kidding! And if he doesn't show a dramatic increase in offensive production early this season (like in the preseason), and Benning still can't get anything for him in a trade, I'm sure they won't hesitate to put him on waivers to send him to Utica. If he doesn't produce offensively, he's just got nothing to offer in Green's system.

    That's definitely the consensus, although they may well send Biega back to Utica if they decide to keep 2 extra forwards instead of 2 extra D. I see that Fantenberg has been inaccurately labelled as a right D in some posts, but he's actually just another leftie (unfortunately).

    Justin Bailey is on the camp roster, but not Tyler Graovac. I guess Graovac has seniority rights to bypass Prospects Camp.

    Just what I was thinking. And also that the last time we drafted 10th overall, I believe, was for Luc Bourdon. Let's just hope that this is the last we hear of Podkolzin's heart issues!

    From what I heard,the Maze owners have no idea how this happened! They were planning a pumpkin theme this year, but a pilot flying into the Chilliwack airport got in touch with them and congratulated them on the Canucks 50th theme....they had no idea! Not sure what this means, but I have a feeling that something special is going to happen this year. Don't know if I should suggest it, but I think our 50 year drought is finally over!

    I don't think it was all that terrible what Loui said: he and the coach don't agree 100% (how many players and coaches do?) and he didn't think he got played as much as he should have. Green said himself that he respects what Loui achieved in the past (which is why he's being paid $6 schmill), he understands Loui being frustrated, but that his job is to win games. End of story. Loui doesn't play, unless the team is decimated by injuries again and they get desperate. No other GM in their right mind would trade for him, so he most likely goes to Utica. No big deal.

    As someone who has watched or listened to nearly every Canucks' game since about 1977, I have to agree with the first poster, it was game #6 in the '94 Finals. But I'd also have to say the first game the Canucks played back in Boston after the losing the Finals in 2011, when they won behind the stellar play of Schneider and Hodgson, that was incredibly intense and exciting for a regular season game!

    This is the first time I've seen the slightest hint of positivity towards the Canucks by a blogger on that site in a long time. Will be interesting to see if this is an anomaly, or might be the start of something new!

    If Benning could get a half decent return for either of those players, especially Baertschi, I'm sure he would have done it without waiting to maybe acquire Brodie.
