  1. Good for Bo. Deserves every dollar he gets in that deal. Outstanding human beimg and player. Securing his family's future and perhaps a few generations. He will get a good opportunity in Long Island to compete in next few years. NYI clearly showed they wanted him and is choosing to honor that. Management clearly didnt make him a priority.
  2. Its just not the same without Bo anymore. I don't look at this team with the same affinity anymore with Bo gone. He was the face of this franchise for a while, he was the name and face that came to mind every time I thought about "Canucks". I just don't have the same desire to follow this team very much at the moment. I know eventually I will again, but this move ranks in the top 5 deflating moves in my 26 years as a fan.
  3. Would've taken the Chytil, Lundqvist and 1st for Miller now if that meant keeping Bo. Brutally gutted right now. I know it was going to happen, but its still not easier to sit with. Really going to miss Bo.
  4. Im okay with that. Want to open up spaces for Studnicka, Podz, Hoglander and Karlsson to get more prominent looks down the road here.
  5. Starting to see Studnicka start to get more oppotunities. He was very noticeable for the right reasons last game, just couldn't bury his chances. I counted 4 scoring chances for him.
  6. I think I might have to stay away from twitter and CDC for a bit. Seeing more Bo Horvat talk and tweets about his soon to be departure, is seriously making me sad. I legit thought of Bo as a career Canuck player, he would be the guy that would remain with this club through thick and thin. It makes me really sad we have gotten to this point with our captain. I hope you are all well, keep loving the Canucks, but gunna sign out for a while until the deal is done. Its honestly impacting me (I know it shouldn't and don't take this game/team so seriously), but truly on a deep level, love Bo Horvat and what he has meant to this organization and my fandom for the team.
  7. Boooo this team. Garbage effort on an important night that honors Gino. This team doesn't have the make up to even compete on a night to night basis.
  8. Could be the last time we see Bo in a skate jersey. I haven't watched games lately, but considering how close we may be getting to a Bo Horvat trade in the next few weeks-months, I will begin savoring the moments we have left with him.
  9. The closer we are getting to a Bo Horvat trade, the more sad I get. I honestly cannot believe that this management and the previous manage has walked us into this path now. In no way did I imagine that Bo Horvat would be in any jersey other than a Canuck one. Its a tough pill to swallow and its really hard fathoming following this team anymore right now.
  10. Man Seattle getting Horvat would really spice up that rivalry quickly. Not sure I like the idea of seeing Horvat 5-6 times a season in a different uniform and scoring goals against us. Seattle would have to pay out of their arse to pry him away from Vancouver. Wright, and a 1st is the foundation of a deal, but they need to significantly add to consider this. Jagger Firkus and RHD Ty Nelson are two prospects I would key on hard to pry away as well in any deal with Seattle.
  11. Surprised the Sabres weren't able to find takers for Hinostroza. He is still very much a servicable NHL player. Would be a nice add to a contending team but that 1.7 mil is a tough one to swallow.
  12. Yes. If that secured us 1st overall to take Connor Bedard, yes, Id do that deal every single time.
  13. If only JT had this level of conviction on the backcheck. Glad to see he has still some passion left in him, perhaps channel it and lead this team. Would love to see just about anyone do the same beyond Elias Pettersson.
  14. This is how you lose the trust of the players and ultimately lose credibility across the league. The new medical team and athletic therapists they hired this past summer have already screwed up majorly, potentially costing Pearson's next contract signing in the NHL. JR and Allvin have done a very poor job 13 months into their tenure. I have zero faith in this new management and organization as a whole.
  15. He has begun turning his development around again and is gaining more confidence as he plays more minutes for Abbotsford. Helps that he has been primarily paired with Wolanin too. Despite really having a strong 3rd AHL season, putting him into NHL minutes too quickly might hurt his development. He still needs to work on making better defensive reads especially with the puck, but its improving, but its not NHL calibre yet. Still needs time to refine them. Much like how the club destroyed DiPietro's, Gaudette's, and Virtanen's development by playing them when they weren't NHL ready, playing Woo too quickly could hurt his confidence that he has worked hard to regain. He needs a larger sample size before considering him getting a look in the NHL.
  16. I would love to move on from JT. I was of the mind last summer that you had to re-sign him. I regret that notion. I dont know though if Jim and Patrick are willing to take an L on this. Trading Miller would admit publically (although its already consensus is already around the NHL world that they made the wrong choice) they made the wrong move and have to lose value on him. As much as I want JT gone, I don't think this management are willing to admit they were wrong. Seems like too many egos in the head office and ownership to right the wrong. I would think too with JT's sizeable extension, that adding assets would not be in the organization's appetite to do so to move him.
