  1. Please for all that is good, do not let Myers play on this team ever again after this season. He is just incompetent as a player.
  2. The team rushing players back and getting medical issues jumbled should really be concerning. The medical team we have is looking really sketchy.
  3. Interesting, wonder if he comes over next season to play in Abbotsford/ECHL or stays on a loan back to Europe.
  4. JR and Allvin are clearly looking for a young center with offensive upside, who can play a two way game and grow with the young core we have. Those are hard to find, but you can take some gambles on certain players that haven't broke out yet but are soon due for one. I look at LA's pipeline and center depth and a guy that doesn't get talked enough about is Rasmus Kupari. 23 years old, RFA this summer, 15 points but has the speed, skill, and defensive smarts to be a two way centermen. Plays on the fourth line right now buried by Kopitar, Danault, Byfield and Lizotte. I think Kupari has all the tools to break out and be an impact two way center moving forward. Just needs an opportunity. He currently anchors LA's 2nd PK unit and has had spurts of really skilled hockey plays. This is a player you can buy relatively low on and I would be looking to target.
  5. He is starting to exert his will and physicality. Before he looked pedestrian at best. Jeremy Colliton has done a great job along with Garry Agnew to help Woo become more assertive on the ice. Hopefully he is qualified and re-signed, he is an RFA this summer. The changing of the guard may mean they cut him loose if they don't believe in him (new management).
  6. Opportunity, quieter market, and Nashville has a great development system growing dman's games. Good place for him to go.
  7. Canucks need more contribution offensively beyond Pettersson, Miller, Hughes, Kuzmenko, and Boeser. Guys like Boeser, Beauvillier have to be more consistent to generating offense and putting points on the board. Need to start seeing results from Kravtsov, Studnicka, and Podkolzin if they want to be on the roster next season. Need that secondary scoring to kick in to take the pressure off the main 5 above.
  8. I wonder if they decide to move OEL beside Hughes. OEL's biggest deficit is skating. Hughes can outskate OEL's issues. OEL doesn't seem to like to skate the puck out but likes to make small passes that lead to a breakout. What if his outlet...was Hughes? Who can easily skate and move the puck out without a hitch. Additionally, maybe move OEL to his offside. He gets burned a lot when players come wide as he rotates to his left. Would rotating to the outside on his right side be better, where is stick is already? It seems like OEL works best when he has a dman that can do heavy lifting skating in transition and carrying the puck out. Hughes seems to be the only proficient guy to do both. That way if you really want, Hronek and another dman you acquire can take tough matchups, and the Hughes/OEL pairing can be the half court press pairing that just shoves offense down the oppositions' throat. Try everything before you decide to buy him out.
  9. If we draft outaude of the top 10...could definitely see a possibility that thisbteam trades the first round pick to get an immediate impactful player like they did with the Hronek trade. If they are committed to being a playoff team next season, I wouldnt mind them be aggressive and go after something that could make sense now and for the future.
  10. Juulsen - done for the year due to ankle injury https://www.cbssports.com/fantasy/hockey/news/canucks-noah-juulsen-likely-not-returning-this-season/
  11. The team gets rid of Bruce was gut wrenching. The team trading Captain Bo was devastating. But this took a new level of sadness for me. Going to miss Cheech.
  12. Garland is a play driver. He can carry a line on his own, he likes to hold the puck and make smart plays with it. He has made Aman and Joshua look really good and vice versa.
  13. Offensively Petey, Milsy, and Huggy have really carried this gtoup since thr TDL. Would like to start seeing Podkolzin, Kravtsov and Studnicka assert themselves in the last bits here. We need to see what else they are capable of and whether they can play more meaningful roles moving forward. This team needs more depth, would like see the younger faces step up and seize a role on this team.
  14. Myers gets worse and worse through 3 coaching groups. Guy is brain dead when it comes to playing defense. I really hope he is gone by the end of the summer, he is awful.
  15. This is why I have trust issues with this organization...can never say what they mean and mean what they say.
  16. Woo just absolutely destroyed a Colorado Eagle. He has really started to round out his game and being more impactful in a good way.
  17. The organization is overflowing with wingers all looking to establish themself in the NHL. Hoglander, Podkolzin, Kravtsov, Studnicka, Karlsson, McDonough, Bains are all vying for looks. Not enough spots to give out. Will be interesting to see who shows more hunger and willingness to play Tocchet's style of game. Internal competition is great, hope to see it really push players to give their all.
  18. Myers really is awful at reading plays and making the right decisions. No hockey IQ in his own zone. I truly hope he is gone next season.
  19. I'm a big fan of Kirill. Well earned ELC for him and bonus is that he was drafted by the Soo in the import draft so he isn't limited to the same CHL rules where he has to be 20 years old to enter into the AHL. Multiple paths for him to develop, and his contract does slide should he return back to the OHL next season which frees up a contract spot too.
