    some guy hanging out outside my building who doesn't even live in it asked me, when i was walking in, if he could hang out with me in my unit for a bit. buddy, i don't even know your name.

      reminds me of the time work sent me to Winnipeg and put me up in the Louis Riel hotel featuring peeling wall paper and a bright pink soap dispenser in the shower.  about 10pm there was a knock on the door and some guy is standing there in his gonch, bottle of liquor in hand, asking me to let him in so we can party.  I shut the door fast.
