I'm with the truckers on this Heff... I know your views, I have been paying attention to a number of posters that share the same views as you do. As a result this is my last day here until things cool down some. What I know is we share one thing in common the love for our team. But it seems, that our core values differ greatly. It's sad but the reality for many of us. Regardless, I'll be cheering on our canucks and hope for a time where we are united as a Canadian people again. Take care y'all Hogs & Pods out...

"These people"... That's the problem... This guy that yelled at your daughter and YOU (in this state) are the problem. Both emotional and acting out in extreme measures. I understand you're angry that that &^@#er yelled and intimidated your daughter... I get it, I would be to... But 'those people' is just as wrong. There are bad apples in both sides... But most of us are rational Canadians that have at times some varying beliefs and that's okay. Regardless, I hope your daughters okay. Give her a hug.

Communication, communication, communication. THAT is the main underlying theme JR has brought in to the hockey ops. All his hires are above average communicators.... A major attribute within all 3 hires skill sets. This to me, will make the biggest foundational impact to the overall improved culture in the canucks organization. I am encouraged. Will be a fun ride... Big changes a comin'!!!

what are his reasons for not liking Allvin? If it's drafting, maybe Allvin isn't overseeing the draft (unlike Benning)? It amazes me that you two are already not happy. Personally, I'm cautiously optimistic but will reserve judgment until this new team starts making some prospect/player moves and organizational system adjustments. You two are a little to trigger happy!... Step away from the cliff lol!!!

Well he's been interviewed for at least 3 other GM vacancies in the past. So it's fair to say that he's 'well respected' within the industry. ... Which is part of the problem. I to have a problem with the interview as for me the 'off ice' behavior should be weighted equally to the on ice performance. This may mean that Burke and the like, might be the most qualified and best fit for this team. However, their character matters even more. If you hire a person with questionable character, at such a high position, with so much influence, what message are you sending to the rest if the organization and fans alike? If Burke comes out and shows the steps he's taken to get healthier. Can prove through his actions since, that he's healed and made amends with those he has wronged... Then maybe I'd be okay with the hiring but ultimately, I'd rather go with someone else... Even if less qualified.

Very excited for this hire. Like others have mentioned here, I was worried that JR would just be hiring people he'd worked with in the past... Keeping it a 'old boys' club, but so far it looks like anything but that. What I'm most excited about with this hire, is the untapped talent pool JR has ventured into. We are getting some brilliant hockey minds that haven't been given the opportunity to excell at the highest level... Only because of their sex. I'm very proud of JR... This is a watershed moment in this franchise. We're getting the best female hockey minds in the world, working hard, probably with a chip on their shoulder and hungry to win! This is going to be awesome!!!

I stopped drinking alcohol... HUGE! Saving $1500.00 per year (conservative estimate at home drinking). I work within walking distance, save $800.00 (driving a very fuel efficient 4 banger) As a single father if two, cook from scratch 6 days a week (one night per week for takeout and one night per month eating out).... teaches kids how to cook in a healthy way and you save big money. I'm selling my house on van island this spring. Making great profit off it. Rolling it into land (20 acers) in central America paid in full and lots left over for building and living off of. Building micro hydro system... Year around free, unlimited power... Sell excess back to grid. No mortgage and no reliance on credit!!! Big savings and true freedom.

This weird time, in the long run, is a blessing in disguise. JR and co are getting a great opportunity to evaluate the depth is the organization. Especially the goaltending depth, the most important position in the game. I'm really excited for DiPietro! I was hoping he'd be in last game. Felt if Martin would have been back in, we'd lose tonight. But Mikey's in and I think he'll be hungry to prove to everybody that he has what it takes to be a NHL caliber goaltender. He'll be drawing upon his mom's spirit tonight. I think he'll come through.
