  1. It appears that it was mostly Aho running that line (Juolevi included).
  2. I agree... But do you think he'd be available at 5? In a redraft, Seider would go top 3 now. I'd could see the same with Jiricek.
  3. Excellent proposal!!! Best one I've seen... I'm hoping that the nucks management goes with at least one guaranteed sure fire top 4 d or top 6 forward fir Miller. This way, the team doesn't necessarily take a step back in order to go forward long term. The Boston trade looks best for that but the Carolina trade is a close second. The L.A. and Washington trades have the most boom or bust potential. As others have mentioned, the Rangers trade would be the only one I'd be disappointed with. Thanks again bc Nate!
  4. Boeser and Rathbone for Roy, Faber and a 2nd?
  5. Boeser maybe? Less return but still as you and others have said. L.A. have an abundance of pieces that would compliment our roster. A number of different scenarios could work. Höglander or Pearson as part of the package may work as well.
  6. Without doing a deep dive into the prospects you mention as potential gets from L.A.... Your argument is compelling. At first glance, I'd say this would be a good trade for both sides.... Maybe a little better deal for van? However, why I could see L.A. as being a good trading partner is the fact that they are transiting out if their 30+ year old guys to the under 24 year old guys... But there is this year or two gap between the transition....AND I think L.A. wants to start winning now. (Doughty and Kopitar want one last good run). They can do that, especially with JT centering their 1st or 2nd line. As you mentioned, L.A. has an abundance of prospects they can use as trading chip and still keep their best ones for themselves. Good proposal!
  7. Wasn't the rumored trade with Rangers Chytil, Lundkvist and a 1st for Miller alone?... And they didn't go for it. So... How does this make sense? Or are you bullsh!ting?
  8. Appreciate you taking the time to explanation some of your perspective and feelings on Delorme. Can't agree with you more on hoping Allvin and co can improve our drafting. So far I am happy with the additions to the development team. I don't recall a time in this franchise's history that has made this many substantial changes across the management front. Changing the stale, outdated foundation and framework this team has been operating under during my time as a fan. It's encouraging. I'm cautiously optimistic...
  9. No intent on shaming... There are enough people here and around the world that are handing that out all too much these days... So no that was not my intent. I was curious as to why you felt the need to single out Delorme not say... Smyl for example. Two ex canucks and a longtime in management. Yet we do not question or ask how Smyl has kept his job all these years. You are simply rehashing an old tired narrative that holds no water. You have shared no facts either... The only thought I had, as to why certain fans question Delorme's role with the club is, the narrative that he is the last 'weak link' or common denominator left to our somewhat patchy drafting history? Or? Anyway... Sad that you are so reactive to a simple question. All the best.
  10. Lol! Calm down you say... Pot calling kettle black hey? I have done my research... Hence the questions to you. Maybe I should ask where you got your info. All I can say is... you're not talking out of your mouth.
  11. Obviously, he's been there through 4 management changes... He must have some ability. Why are you questioning this? Has he shown incompetence to you? I find it curious that there are a number of fans on here that like to bring the fact that he as been there as long as he has.
  12. Leading to McdDavids winning goal, Johnnny curls away from Draisaitl in the corner... Doesn't even try to engage. Uncontested, Leon passes to Connor... Series over. That's why the fLames will never win with their main guys showing no heart.... ....Hope they re-sign him!!! Lol
  13. Has anyone checked out or discussed Öhgren yet?! Man oh man, this kid is special all around modern day 200 ft winger.. And may very well be available at 15. https://thehockeywriters.com/canucks-2022-nhl-draft-target-liam-ohgren/
  14. Crystal ball? You're probably right but I wouldn't count out either L.A. or Dallas with all their vet experience. Game 7's always come down to the better goaltender wins. Quick vs Smith.... Marky vs Oettinger. I predict, Calgary vs L.A.... But like you pointed out, Soilers vs fLames would be a great series... Maybe the best of this years playoffs! This series... Not sure... Either Avs in 6 or Blues in 7.
  15. Couldn't have said it better myself. I think these other guys that were drafted around him are very good players that will leave their mark as well but... Podz has the character and physical tools to be the best of the bunch all around player that plays an integral part in winning championships. Exciting times!!!
  16. I agree... Producing points... Well goals anyway, won't be what he'll be about... However, I bet he'll be known for scoring timely, clutch goals in a couple years. But no, he won't be a Boldy... I really wanted him as well. Ultimately though... I still believe Podz will end up being a better overall player than any of the guys picked after him in the draft... It will show in his +/- and how he'll elevate players around him. He will make or 'will' the canucks into becoming 'hard to play against' again.
  17. AV... He just started this year... Now just starting to come into his own. Listen to Horvat, Miller, Chaisson talk about Podz... He will be like a Bergeron soon enough.... Maybe with a little less offence but really, neither if us know where he will be in the next couple years. I just think your basing everything on the now and not looking at how he is trending. His work ethic, attitude, smarts, will, and drive already are at pro level according to Miller, and Horvat. I'll take Podz over any of the guys you mentioned (including Zegras) hands down... The only guy I'd hesitate on is Boldy. A year from now... I'll bring this conversation back.... Might be wishful thinking coming from you, but hope you're willing to eat some crow. Hey AV... Where you goin'?
  18. Boeser was miles better than Player Name Ek the first 2-3 years in the league. Who'd you rather have now? There were a lot of good forwards within the top 20 in the 19' draft. Newhooks looking great... Krebes as well. These guys including Caulfield and Boldy (whom by the way, in my book, was neck and neck my favorite with Podz) are all very well may produce more than podz (If they stay healthy... Podz is also super durable)... But not one of these guys will be as tough to play against, or as defensively elite. Podz will be out in all situations were as a number of these guys will be put out in more offensive rolls only. I don't need to bash any of these players to point out that podz will be an integral part of this core very soon. A player that you need to win a Stanley Cup with. By the end of next season... Let's pose this question again and see how you feel.
  19. Obviously I've had a man crush from before we even drafted him... His attitude is his main quality... Which happens to be elite. This kids learning how to drive a line.... That Horvat happens be on... and a leader and super tough and tough to play against. Podz has it all. He will end up being an intricate part of the core... #overthemoon!
  20. The Police... 'Voices inside my head' One of my favs!
