Good for you that have property but this is just awful news.

I was a Green supporter but it’s pretty clear now with Bruce that he wasn’t a good coach. I was wrong. I don’t get why people can’t admit when they’re wrong. It’s not that big a deal.

@Dazzle I don’t think Virtanen would have lasted as long under any other coach tbh. Green and Benning gave him so many chances for him to become a pro his leash was as long as Bennings and Greens. I think if he came to camp out of shape every year under BB he would have kicked him out the door. If Virt didn’t have the allegations against him he would still be on the team

I think he needs some Assistant coaching experience under a proven NHL coach. Looking back I think he just kept his AHL style of coaching and never adapted to the NHL style. I think given the 2 AHL coaches that Benning hired it’s safe to say AHL coaches aren’t the way to go 

The players see the same things the fans see. Being stuck under a garbage GM who makes bad decisions over and over again would wear on anyone. If you don’t have confidence in the leadership to build the team everyone suffers. Now that Benning and Green are gone there’s a spark of hope, not just in the players but in the fans. 

@Dazzle Do you know how to read? Yes like I’ve already said, I understand GMing more and what a bad trade/signing is. I find that a lot easier than understanding what it takes to be a coach. Idk how to make that anymore clear to you. I’m not going to reply anymore because I don’t understand what you can’t grasp. I think you’re just butthurt that Benning is a bad GM and for some reason you defend him so hard. You got problems weirdo lol

@Dazzle That is exactly what I’m saying. I literally said several times, I don’t understand coaching so I don’t know what he was doing so wrong. That’s why I started this post. I could clearly see Benning was a bad GM early on. I’m not defending Green, just asking why he was bad because I couldn’t tell by watching games. Idk what your problem is or if you’re just mad I keep saying Benning was such a bad GM but you brought him up first.

@Dazzle I’m literally asking a question because I want to understand why Green is bad. Like I said I don’t understand coaching but I understand bad trades/signings so it’s much easier for me to see how bad of a GM Benning was. I’m not defending Green, just trying to understand because I can’t tell what he did so bad actually coaching. Don’t need to be so hostile about it. Everyone is biased

@Dazzle I think it’s a lot easier to see Benning was a bad GM pretty quickly with poor decisions every year that average fans would know not to do. It’s harder for people to judge coaching because we don’t understand what the issues in the system are. I’ll admit that I don’t understand there nuances of coaching all that much that’s why I asked this question. All I saw was players not performing well and I wasn’t sure if it was the coaching system or the players fault.

I don’t trust Benning to pick another coach so fire Green but let the next GM or president (please) pick the coach

I agree. The team isn’t built well but the pieces that are there can either kickstart a proper rebuild like the Rangers or make a retool possible. We just need a competent GM and Coach. I don’t know what the hold up is but Aqua is just making things worse by not doing anything

I’m excited to watch the next game to see if we get blown out again so maybe Benning and Green can get fired and we can get some competent management

I am available and I guarantee I could have done a better job than Benning

Ya it’s not worth arguing with them. I don’t understand it. I stopped trying.  

@#Canucks no. No I did not. I like both players but we gave up way too much to get them. Benning digs a hole where we have a bunch of overpriced bad contracts and it takes a top 10 pick and a 2nd to dump them. And now we have OELs albatross contract to deal with. As much as I like OEL I would have stayed away for his contract alone. The trade was not worth it

I think the players are more anti Benning at this point

No I think his signings and trades are pretty awful too. His downfall is just being bad at his job

Benning needs to go too. Built this team. Picked the coaches. How many chances does this clown get? 

Alf wears the thickest homer glasses I’ve ever seen. You were dumping on Seider before too and he’s been great this year. Maybe Alf is Bennings account and just trying to make himself look good lol

Ive been apathetic to this team for a while now. Awful GM moves every year and questionable coaching makes it hard to stomach watching games

Perhaps you’re right @JM_ I haven’t been enjoying following this team for some time because of Benning. You’re always a nice person to talk to on here
