BC Housing Assessments are out. In one calendar year my property value increased $151,500
WOW

There's quite a significant amount of media people still defending Green. Unreal.
-
Green didn't trust his team.
-
@Dazzle I don’t think Virtanen would have lasted as long under any other coach tbh. Green and Benning gave him so many chances for him to become a pro his leash was as long as Bennings and Greens. I think if he came to camp out of shape every year under BB he would have kicked him out the door. If Virt didn’t have the allegations against him he would still be on the team

It's as if a curse has been lifted.

The players see the same things the fans see. Being stuck under a garbage GM who makes bad decisions over and over again would wear on anyone. If you don’t have confidence in the leadership to build the team everyone suffers. Now that Benning and Green are gone there’s a spark of hope, not just in the players but in the fans.

What exactly did you hate about Green?
He gets a ton of hate but I didn’t see anything that was so bad to think he was a bad coach. With Willie D his insistence to play guys like Megan and Chaput on the top line was one instance of how an average fan could see he was bad. But with Green I can’t really come up with anything beside maybe him not calling enough timeouts when the game was getting away from them?
-
@Dazzle Do you know how to read? Yes like I’ve already said, I understand GMing more and what a bad trade/signing is. I find that a lot easier than understanding what it takes to be a coach. Idk how to make that anymore clear to you. I’m not going to reply anymore because I don’t understand what you can’t grasp. I think you’re just butthurt that Benning is a bad GM and for some reason you defend him so hard. You got problems weirdo lol

@Dazzle That is exactly what I’m saying. I literally said several times, I don’t understand coaching so I don’t know what he was doing so wrong. That’s why I started this post. I could clearly see Benning was a bad GM early on. I’m not defending Green, just asking why he was bad because I couldn’t tell by watching games. Idk what your problem is or if you’re just mad I keep saying Benning was such a bad GM but you brought him up first.

@Dazzle I never said any of Green criticism is wrong. I agree with what others are saying on here. I don’t know why you’re getting so upset about this. Accusing me of being disingenuous and biased. You need to chill out. This whole post was me just asking a question to understand. Jeez

@Dazzle I’m literally asking a question because I want to understand why Green is bad. Like I said I don’t understand coaching but I understand bad trades/signings so it’s much easier for me to see how bad of a GM Benning was. I’m not defending Green, just trying to understand because I can’t tell what he did so bad actually coaching. Don’t need to be so hostile about it. Everyone is biased

@Dazzle I think it’s a lot easier to see Benning was a bad GM pretty quickly with poor decisions every year that average fans would know not to do. It’s harder for people to judge coaching because we don’t understand what the issues in the system are. I’ll admit that I don’t understand there nuances of coaching all that much that’s why I asked this question. All I saw was players not performing well and I wasn’t sure if it was the coaching system or the players fault.

This is a good time for a new leader to want to step in. Low expectations, licence to make changes, and enough talent to work with to make something good happen sooner than later.

Are you tired of the negativity on media about the Canucks? (Twitter, Canucks Board, Radio, etc)
-
if JB doesn't fix the defense and the pk, things won't be different under any coach. the team is better on paper but not good enough yet.
-
Is there something wrong with me if I am still excited to watch the next Canucks game?
-
Who are some available GM’s right now?
-
The amount of brain cells I've lost over the years arguing with people who defend this management team. Mind-boggling.
-
Jim Benning’s down fall won’t be his signings or trades. It will be his hiring of head coaches.
-
@#Canucks no. No I did not. I like both players but we gave up way too much to get them. Benning digs a hole where we have a bunch of overpriced bad contracts and it takes a top 10 pick and a 2nd to dump them. And now we have OELs albatross contract to deal with. As much as I like OEL I would have stayed away for his contract alone. The trade was not worth it

I am of the opinion there is a big split in the dressing room and I am trying to figure out who is on which side...any thoughts?
Anti Green: Boeser, Pettersson, Miller
Pro Green: Bo, Myers, Demko -

@#Canucks I strongly disagree but you’re entitled to your opinion

Hey Francesco and Jim
Grow a pair and FIRE GREEN and the coaching staff already!
-
Quinn Hughes 12 points and +6
Jacob Chychrun 1 point and - 20
And to think some Canuck fans wanted to trade our Mighty Quinn for the (not so great) Jakob.
-
Even during the dark last couple years of Willie D, finishing in the basement and drafting high, I don't think I missed a game. I'd tape it and stay up til midnight on a weeknight to watch it if I had to. But god dammit am I getting apathetic towards the Canucks this season and getting dangerously close to voluntarily skipping games.
-
You Benning supporters are something else. The mental gymnastics you must go through to keep supporting the guy is insane. The rest of the league is laughing at you just like the rest of the world laughs at Trump supporters.
-
Perhaps you’re right @JM_ I haven’t been enjoying following this team for some time because of Benning. You’re always a nice person to talk to on here
