  1. Listened to LegoRocks99Gaming on YouTube who echo's Daniel Wagners thought on voting Bo for the All Star Game.. Have to say i'm in.. Will be voting as much as I can to see our Cappy go to the show.  Have a listen..

  2. Rousell reminds me a lot of Lapierre, yappy agitator that can still make some plays.  With every game, I appreciate him a little more.

  3.  Wow was it ever refreshing to see a Vancouver goalie steal a game.  Nilsson kept the boys in long enough for some confidence to grow, and boy did it grow!

  4. 4 channels showing the Blue Jays game, but none showing the Canucks vs Kings!?  I can watch every other televised preseason game except ours.

I think its because they are in Salt Lake City, where Sportsnet doesn't have easy broadcast connectivity.

The Laffs could play a game in Siberia and it would be televised live on 4 networks, replayed later in prime time with a full 1 hour documentary aired one night later.

I laugh at that @6string but, you're not wrong.

  5. Is anyone else curious if Erikkson might prove his worth being the swedish mentor to Pettersen?

Fact: Vancouver isn't a preferred destination for free agents.

Fact: Only now is our cupboard being filled with talent, and the team is still a long way.

Fact: To get players to sign here, you are going to have to overpay.

Take this into perspective: Yeah he's not putting up the kind of numbers we want him to.

He's not a liability, he's also unlike Messier. He's a low key, defensively responsible forward who outside of his own goal debut. It has taken him 2-3 seasons with each new team to start scoring.

At least he doesn't go to management and coaches demanding ice time, and better players to be put with.

And rip the team apart. It would be good to see a 20 goal, 40 point season. Maybe with some more skill at centre ice he can improve. Maybe try him with Dahlen at pre-season and see what happens.

I think Eriksson would be a good fit with Pettersson because he's good defensively and knows how to finish pretty passes. Perhaps

$6 mil gets you a ~50 point player. So yes thats certainly possible if he's on the top 6.

  6. I am pumped, excited to see what he can do on the ice. Maybe draft his brother!?
  7. Met Derrick Pouliot's aunt last week, really nice lady and speaks very highly of her nephews, had a great chat.

  8. Now that EP is signed, Edler has someone new not to pass to on the PP

ya hopefully he  just passes to other swedish players and we dodge a bullet here LOL

Maybe Edler doesn't play on the number one PP this season?  Maybe he's not even on the number two PP?

      Okay, I'm wrong.

  9. Wow, I wouldn't want to be a team facing elimination tomorrow based off how today went.

  10. Who all remembers that 8 year old hockey whiz-kid that was lifting pucks up and throwing them past the goalie?  Found the video, and its Wahlstrom!  Had a laugh when I saw this.

I think Jurco's vid was when he was in his mid or late teens, though I could be wrong. Something like 16 or 17 I think.

Why was Wahlstrom part of a shootout contest on Bruin ice? Is he a Massachusetts boy?

Better off to follow the Nashville Model. Draft D and lots of it. Trade a surplus of defensive depth for forwards. You know like Jones for Johansen, and crazy deals like New Jersey did getting Hall.

  11. Well, despite the poor team performance (again) the one silver lining to this gloomy cloud is that Archibald has arrived.  After a few shifts of massive hits, Carolina backed off from him.  I can't remember the last time a player intimidated the opposition, ohhh wait.. Yes I can, Groot!  AKA Tryamkin.

  12. Tell me I'm wrong.. Horvats camp is looking at the Eriksson & Dorsett contracts and expecting a payday

  13. What if its not Kane, what if the potential trade is Reinhart?

@Fateless I don't want to trade Virtanen but if we're getting Kane AND Reinhart then I'd do that.

    3. Fateless

      Fateless

I don't think the deal I suggested is too unfair to either side. Tanev is worth more than Kane - by quite a bit. Reinhart is worth more than Virtanen at the moment by quite a bit. The 2017 2nd is going to be a pretty high pick (probably 30-35) and would sweeten the pot for Buffalo.

I don't want to give up on Virtanen either, but I'm already starting to form the opinion that he may need a change of scenery. He is clearly clashing with our coaches/management and he seems to be developing a self-centered attitude. I think that this deal benefits both teams greatly and could be something that would actually be worth pursuing.

    4. Jaku

      Jaku

@Fateless 's value is absolutely spot on. I'd do that deal, no problem. Sam has good upside, and still could be a number 1 guy. He is still young and has shown brilliance even though his stats aren't wonderful this year, he can be a player that controls the flow of play.

I feel like this helps both teams.

  14. The whole NHL damn near lost their mind today.. Keep it coming!!
