There’s a question as to whether Ferlands contract was insured given his past injury history. Unless it is, the Yotes don’t touch that contract with a ten foot pole. If it is, it would be a cheap way to help hit the cap floor with insurance picking up the tab.
Ferland's contract isn't insured. I am hoping he comes back. He would be a tremendous asset in the top 9. The exact player we are missing and the reason Benning took a risk and signed him in the first place.
