    IMHO The AHL (aka The Jungle) would be worse for Juolevi than SM-Liiga. He had an amazing year there and is being mentored by Sami Salo. One more year there wouldn't hurt. And trust me, I was in Finland for most of his season. If it wasn't for Heiskanen, he would be getting much more media coverage

      @-Vintage Canuck- and @Twilight Sparkle are the most well known sig makers out there on CDC. Both do fantastic work. There may be others who can help too.

    Yee the expectations will be high for sure, and I know Carolina's goaltending is bad, but given Lindholm and Hanifin's +- I can see them being a liability

    Lindholm and Hanifin need $$$. The Flames are also softer without Ferland, and Giordana/Backlund/Frolik are another year older. They also don't have a goalie... Not worried about this team whatsoever as a division competitor

    Dougie > RFA Hanifin Ferland < Lindholm ... but I'll like playing against Lindholm more. Adam Fox looks poised to be a 3 or 4 guy. Overall I think Carolina wins... But even if Calgary does, it only means it'll draw us closer to Jack! #LoseForHughes

      I didn't realize that Wisebrod has know the Hughes kids since they were really little guys as Quinn's dad worked for Wisebrod in Southern Florida I think.

       

      Apparently Jack almost ran onto the draft floor tonight to go give Wisebrod a hug for drafting Quinn.

       

      So you never know about drafting Jack.

      The more obvious story is Colorado getting Jack with Ottawas draft pick to complete their tire fire.  Tkachuk is going to be the only player left there at this rate.

      To answer my own question, I feel like we need 2 pieces: a Dobson and a Hanifin. We'll need 3 if OJ doesn't pan out

      What number will Boqvist wear?  He's in our core too.

    Lol It can be switched if the older guys can't keep up. I remember tuning in to Elias' first couple SHL games and his linemates were Josefsson and Kiiskinen. We'll have to work with work with what we have. And pray EP can serve up some delicious McChickens out of chicken sh*t

    What kind of players is EP playing with? I see Rosen and Shinimin on the score sheet a lot. Are they puck retrievers? I'm trying to think who would be the best fit for him next year. My gut is telling me we need two vets (a la Plekanec and Marleau with Marner)

    With Pettersson and Boeser, is it getting greedy to draft another high-octane forward? I don't want us to pull an Edmonton and be too thin on the blueline. But maybe we could trade away the older guys (Baertschi, Granlund, etc for some serviceable d-men

    something tells me the sedins will be back. Despite their mistakes, they're still putting up good numbers and I think it would be a great passing of the torch from 2 swedish superstars to another (potential) one. Who knows perhaps we'll have two young swedish superstars in the lineup next year #Fallin4Dahlin

    I think Bo, Elias, and Gaudette will be more than sufficient down the middle. I agree we need a top 2 D, but I'd look for a Laine-like player to take the heat off Boeser
