      UK takes a stand and puts a huge wrench in the plans to create a single unit of currency world wide.  Still wont do much but at least some understand what is really going on.

      Las Vegas is just like any other big American city with regular sports fans. The NHL is hoping to engage their sports community before any of the other major North American pro leagues do. If it works, it could pay big dividends.

       

      But I see why some see it as a roll of the dice.

      i expected benning to make at trade like this but i never thought about gudbranson...i believe florida had to move some cap ..good for benning....

    Is 50pts unrealistic for this guy? I'm excited to have him in the top 6, and I feel like he'll add some much needed secondary scoring alongside Sutter. Add a free agent like Eriksson, (and possibly our 5th OA) to the mix and you've got a very interesting cast heading into the season Sedin-Sedin-Eriksson Dubois-Sutter-Rodin Baer-Horvat-Hansen

    Just realized Tyler Jost is committed to UND next year. With Boeser and Schmaltz being sophomores their offence will be nearly unstoppable!

      Maybe we can pick up a mid 1st to draft him, sign Caggiula, and just bring the whole UND team over? Cam Johnson, their goalie, is pretty darn good too...

      They had 11 freshman on their roster this past year. Some will play minor roles, but that's a huge part of the team growing together and sticking around for a while. 

       

      I'm tempted to move back and grab Jost, he's been impressive so far at the u18s.

      reading the comments on fb in their lineup release thread...loads of people really disappointed.

      At first glance I was disappointed because the first line of headliners is specifically just PEARL JAM. Then I started looking closer and it's pretty unreal. 

       

      J Cole, Wiz, Kaskade, Snoop Dogg, Ice Cube, Chainsmokers, DJ Snake, Mac Miller, and indie groups like The Arkells. There's a lot of talent this year with a nice mix of genres.

    Good pick, he has tons of room to grow. Imagine being the captain of a CHL team as a 17 year old and having to shoulder that responsibility.

    I think this kid will surprise us next year. I forgot he was in our prospect pool. He's got winning pedigree and will do whatever it takes to win. Between this guy, Cederholm, Tryamkin and Pedan....our blueline is looking pretty slick in the not-so-distant future. We are one 1st/2nd defenceman away from having a solid, punishing blueline. I'll plug Kylington in just as a visual example. Kylington-Cederholm Tryamkin-Subban Pedan-Sautner The size and skill within that top 6 is pretty nice, and that's without drafting a stud like Hanifin, or Chychrun. Those guys would put our average size at about 6'3, 215-220lbs LOL

      How do you trim dead weight? Sedins aren't dead weight but they aren't exactly playoff performers. At least in a series like this. Vrbata still has another year, Matthias has no reason to come back, Bieksa isn't going anywhere. Trade Higgins? I doubt anyone will take Burrows..
