The Canucks losing in November is nothing new. It's been like that for a long time. I blame it on the month.

I'm the opposite. I would rather make it a molehill. People take things way to personally these days and like to use small mistakes to try to all out destroy people. To me, that is predatory. There are many things influential people say in the media that offends me but that's their freedom and I won't walk all over it because I don't want them to infringe upon mine. It's a two way street. Can't just expect to hear only things I like and cause an uproar over things I don't like to hear. Just change the channel.

What he's saying isn't wrong though. Although the wording of what he said may not have come out right, his message isn't wrong. This is a man who loves his country and wants it's people to share into the Canadian traditions. Nothing wrong with that. Just because he is not so politically correct doesn't mean he's dividing the country. A little out of touch with the younger generation, yes but divisive? That's making a mountain out of a molehill.

He did not attack any specific one race though. He was stating an observation. You are right in that immigrants don't need to take part in our traditions but it would be nice if they did considering if so many of our service members had not died, people would not even have a country to immigrate to in the first place.

It's sad to me that there already isn't much Canada can call it's own, with the erosion of Rememberance day and poppies, pretty soon all it will have maple syrup. When that happens, people will start complaining it's too sweet and that the country should get rid of that too.

I'm still trying to wrap my head around this. Don Cherry said nothing wrong. He said something that many people can agree with and not agree with. It's the beauty of freedom of speech. Dumbest reason to fire someone. Poppies are a Canadian tradition. If you come to Canada then why not respect it's traditions?

It's going to come down to how much cap space the Canucks have after figuring how much they will have to pay Petey. If there is cap space still there then Markstrom gets resigned, if not then Demko becomes number one.
