whytelight
Just asking: I don't think our Canucks were on the same compete level as the Sharks and Kings. We lucked out against Chicago to make it to the finals 2 years ago......teams should not blow 3-0 leads. I'm asking, would you feel better if we lost in the 7th game against the Sharks? If they did, we could say that they actually competed and competed with them till the bitter end. We could say that an inch here or an inch there and we could have beat them. But not this year.......we were not even competing with the Sharks. I
EvoLu7ioN
Excellent point. I don't think I would, a first round loss is a first round loss. At least this way it's clear some changes are necessary.
Drouin
Well, yes and no. No because a loss is a loss and i'd rather not have them get injured through the duration of the series so they could be ready for next season. Yes, because i'd be able to say they at the least tried, but the Sharks were to good. Our powerplay cost us though.

UFTcan
If we lost in 7 we could say we were at least competitive or a challenging team to play against.. So yes it would feel better.
Underachieving Hero of CDC
losing is one thing-- getting swept is embarrassing.
Go Faulk Yourself
I would've been happy if we could've won one game, we blew 2 leads against SJ in the dying minutes, I wonder when that's ever happened before....
goalie13
I would absolutely feel better about it. Vancouver had 59 points in the regular season. SJ had 57. The teams were fairly close in several stats categories. To go down in 7 would have been a far better fate.
DarthNinja
Honestly, getting swept sucks but I think it was exactly what this team needed from top to bottom for a wake up call and to truly move forward, so no, I would not prefer losing in 7. Master Mind
I think so. Making a comeback from down 0-3 would still be exciting even if we lost in the end. Though it would make it a heartbreaking loss.
Mad Cow Disease
We should've lost in a minimum of 6 games, notwithstanding Hansen's miss on that empty net and a good penalty kill/lack of call on that late 3rd period tying goal in game 4. I would've been happier than that. We were robbed/unlucky to the max. Regardless, SJ outplayed us the majority of the time, but spending almost 2 entire periods worth of PK time doesn't help. Heretic
No - I feel great that we lost in 4 straight. It's exactly the type of humility this team needs.
NightHawkSniper
I wouldn't complain, we could've hurt the Sharks chances next round even more if it had gone 3 more games.
chrisbanks
it wouldve been nice to say " it was a heck of a series , hard faught and both teams put it all on the line... cant question the efforts of our boys " but that sentence would blow up a lie detector machine right now. The Magician
No. I want the management to feel embarresed and acknowledge that changes need to be made. Not a classic "it is what it is, I thought we played hard, but we'll start getting ready for next season."
