Watermelons Posted June 3, 2013 Share Posted June 3, 2013 Not going to comment on the trades because I know a lot of people are going to be focussing on that. I love the Sedins-Eriksson line. Assuming the trade did happen though, I doubt it would help us advance further into the playoffs. Yes, Sedins-Eriksson dominated in the World Championships but that was on larger European ice where the game is focused on SKILL and not HITTING/CHECKING/INTIMIDATION. I doubt that Sedins-Eriksson will be much more successful in the playoffs than Sedins-Burrows. They might be better, but not by a lot. You realize Montreal already has lots of centres. Would you trade Kassian for a 5th rounder, Dubnyk, and Ryan Jones? Dallas will not take our overpriced castoffs for a productive player, especially to Vancouver. Edler, two 1sts, and a 2nd would get the discussion started.
