HC20.0
I'd have to go with: Worst: Burke: Umberger for Rucinsky. Nonis: Signing Marc Chouinard Gillis: Hodgson for Kassian (So far?) Best: Burke: His Sedin magic. Nonis: Robbery for Lu. Gillis: Signing Hamhuis to a discount. What's your list?

Where's Wellwood
I'd have to go with: Worst: Burke: Umberger for Rucinsky. Nonis: Signing Marc Chouinard For me, it'd be all of Nonis' trade deadline deals. All crap. Gillis: Hodgson for Kassian (So far?) The length of the contract he gave Luongo Best: Burke: His Sedin magic. Nonis: Robbery for Lu. Gillis: Signing Hamhuis to a discount. What's your list? smithers joe
best moves; burke...firing keenan nonis....trading for lu gillis.....building a team that got to game 7 of the scf's
apollo
LOL signing hamhuis to a discount... so pretty much mg hasn't done jack! Or did gillis make sure hamhuis was born in BC? Burkys best was definitely the twins. Worst... his deadline acquisitions were pretty bad usually. Nonis obviously best move was lui. Worst... acquiring Keith Carney that deadline... imo worst player to ever play for the canucks. Along with weinrich... Gillis best move... ummm.... nothing really. Ill say garrison signing... but again I don't think he's responsible for garrison being a BC boy. Higgy and Lappy deals worked out well! Worst gillis move? 20 million for two years to sundin ... had mats accepted we would have been crippled. Mistreatment of lui Hodgson Took too long to trade Cory Ballard... Booth ... letting Samuelson erhlff salo torress etc etc go. Gillis sucks.
7thMan
I don't remember any standout bad moves by Burke or Nonis. Burke got Sedins, Nonis got Luongo. Nonis drafted terribly, but that might be scouts more than anything. They both picked up some useless players, but didn't lose to much in the process. Best Gillis moves: Ehrhoff trade Deadline acquisitions, with the exception of Roy (Higgins, Lapierre) Worst Gillis moves: Ballard The entire Schneider-Luongo fiasco Jury's still out on Kassian-Hodgson and AV firing, but they look desperate to me
LeanBeef
Burke +: Sedins -: Deadline trades Nonis +:Lu trade, drafting Schneids, Hansen, Edler, and Brown (all of whom played solid roles with the Canucks and Moose) during the 2004 draft -: Deadline trades were brutal... Remember guys like Weinrich, Balej, Park, pylon, pylon, and pylon? well Nonis added them to our team. Traded a 2nd roun pick (used to pick Simmonds) for an aging Sopel Gillis +: Absolutely stealing Ehrhoff from San Jose. Getting rid of Sturm. Higgins deal was solid. Hamhuis and Garrison signings. (Disregard the Schneider trade) Had a solid 2013 draft -: Letting loyal players like Ehrhoff, Lapierre, Naslund, Ohlund, and Torres go (all wanted to re-sign but MG thought otherwise) Signing Bieksa before Ehrhoff. Schneider trade was alright, but he could have gotten more. Not waiting until the summer to pull off the Hodgson trade. Might not be all his doing but the mistreatment of Hodgson, Luongo, and Samuelsson

Conscience
I don't remember much about the details of our former Gms but... Burke best move would be the Sedins, As for Nonis the Luongo trade was his best and his worst was the deadline day plugs. The best move Gillis made was trading for Ehrhoff and giveing up nothing. His worst move and some of this has to fall on AV was the Ballard trade. Grabner was never given a chance here and has now developed into a dynamic winger. The first round pick could have been Emerson Etem, the player that had such great chemistry with Shinkaruk. And of course Ballard never lived up to expectations and eventually was bought out. TOMapleLaughs
Burke: Best - Moves made to draft Sedins. Bure trade. Signing Cassels. Bringing back Linden. Worst - Most other draft picks. Losing a lot of FA's. Almost losing Ohlund. Goaltending not solved. Umberger. Didn't accomplish much in playoffs. Bertuzzi incident. Nonis: Best - Drafting Schneider and Edler. Luongo trade. Worst - Waiving Sanderson. Naslund contract. Noronen for Enroth. Sean Brown for TJ Miller. Bourdon over Kopitar. Chouinard. Bulis. Isbister. Losing Carter. Almost losing Kesler. Sopel for Simmonds. Salo contract. Patrick White. Waived Mike Weaver. Cooke for Pettinger. Not much playoff success. Gillis: Best - Drafting Coho. Edler contract. Burrows contract. Sundin. Sedin contracts. Samuelsson. Ehrhoff for scraps. Kesler contract. Tanev. Hamhuis. Malhotra. Torres. Higgins. Jensen. Garrison. A lot more playoff success. Worst - Steve Bernier. Luongo contract term. Ballard trade. Losing Torres. Honzik. Roy trade. *a lot of picks and moves tbd. Burke came in to revive a franchise in trouble. He rode on the backs of the WCE, which Keenan had brought in, except B-Mo, who was not a legit top-liner. He drafted the Sedins, but didn't develop them well at all. He saw his teams perform better in the regular season, only to fail in the playoffs. The loss against Minnesota was huge. He never properly addressed this teams' goaltending. Nonis was a transitional GM who rode on the back of the Luongo trade. He oversaw his team become an extreme bore, didn't do well in trades except the Luongo trade and while drafting Schneider was alright, why do you burn a 1st on a goaltender if you have Luongo? Mike Green or Dave Bolland would've been nice instead. He also drafted Edler, but his other huge misses in drafting equate to an empty prospect cupboard by the time he was canned. Gillis took over the team and took it to the finals in 3 seasons. He performed some awesome (Ehrhoff) and some not so awesome (Ballard) trades, with some other trades tbd at this point. The Sundin signing was a good one. It signalled to the rest of the league 'here we are' and it helped the Sedins develop into hof-quality players. He managed to sign the significant help for the core that Burke and Nonis was unable to sign. There have been some good and bad draft picks, but a large portion of those are tbd. For the most part his signings have been decent to excellent. Overall, it's easy to see why Gillis is still around, it's easy to see why Nonis isn't, and while i applaud Burke for what he did to turn us into a decent team again, he still needed to do more in areas that obviously needed improvement. sabatoge95
Brian Burke Best: Drafting both Sedins. Worst: More like a non-move, but failing to find us a quality goalie. Dave Nonis Best: Luongo Trade Worst: Basically every deadline deal he made. Mike Gillis Best: Ehrhoff Trade Worst: Signing Luongo to an awful contract.
