i am enjoying a couple of bottles of CC right now

it speaks to me

Any good?

I'm a huge snob and generally avoid Canadian whisky. At some point I will venture over.

I can't really say, I am an antisnob

I like my whisky like I like my women

They all have their attributes and they all have their drawbacks

as long as they don't make me crazy, I think they are all good

Beer on the other hand, I am a total snob

or,

i just don't like beer, but can occasionally enjoy one

Interesting.....I like all beer. Always say there's a beer for every occassion. Even warm bud.

Total whisky snob though but will try different stuff. Don't get me wrong I wouldn't take Oban camping.

I'll try any whiskey once.  If I hear about a bottle I'll try it.

But if it doesn't pass that first test it gets donated or gifted at a bbq

Old Grandad is a great example.....$32 had to buy it.

I'm gonna guess it will suck but....low price, great name/label. Giver er a try.

Whiskey has always been so weird to me.

The differences between Rye, Scotch and Bourbon are really vast for my palette.

I started out being a Scotch fan but in the last few years leaned more to Rye. If I never had a Bourbon again I wouldn't care, too sweet. Perhaps because I worked nightclubs for 15 years and did more JD shots over that time than a human should.

I tend to give my whiskey's a little longer, but that's mostly because one of my 1st whiskeys was Ardbeg 10. I didn't know what to think 1st tasting but once I got to around the middle of the bottle I really liked it.

And I've had other whiskeys like that since. For example, right now I have Bunnahabin 12. I don't know if it was from having high expectations but it felt a little disappointing last week. I could see it getting better though. Another one that had the same affect with me was Larceny.

But hey, if you ever need someone else at your bbq... :P

Sippin some Glenkinchie12 whilst listening to Ralfydotcom(whiskey review/Utube) from 2015..the poor ol' bloke was as sloshed as I am now! :^)

This fine mash is subtle & unassuming. Butterscotch is the flavour - no peat to speak of. Would say it's a perfect dram to introduce folks to single malt.

There's no question..this one grows on you, as the refills add up. Understated, simple, yet smooth as liquid honey.
