where you at the area where the riots happen ... do u know any of the people that rioted ?

they were idiots that didn't know anything about hockey - I personally saw stuff pop up on social media and the morons didn't know a thing about hockey. I even set them in their place and told them to stick it and not make our team look bad when they're fresh of the boat rednecks causing damage.

Rioters were NOT canucks fans.

A guy at a Boston game who throws a bottle at a hab IS a bruin fan. He paid top dollar to be at the game because he's a fan.

Not a drunk poor idiot that happened to be on granville or Georgia strictly to riot - NOT watch hockey or support the Canucks.

it's the cities fault for not having enough cops at such a big drinking gathering

You seriously want me to show you the pictures of the fans rioting. I agree not ALL of them were Canucks fans so we shouldn't generalize Canucks fans as rioters. Not ALL of the Bruins fans threw water bottles so we shouldn't generalize Bruins fans as classless.

They may not have been from Vancouver, but they still were canuck followers. Some people even tried to pass it off as anarchists or dumb things like that.

Yeah that's why they broke into London Drugs to take TV's, iPads, and stuff like that.

Yes we should.

That wasn't in the arena, it's different. Those are people who showed up downtown with an agenda that was to get crazy. The people in the rink paid, as fans, to go cheer on their team and are chanting when players are hurt, throwing stuff, etc.

The fans in the rink chanted when Raymond was down with a broken back...you'd think they'd have learned from that. To curb some of that because they could be wrong and look stupid. But they don't care, they continue.

I do agree about lumping all fans in together but the keyboard warriors were not setting up Bruins' fans. c'mon. Those were angry Bruins' fans who let 'er rip. Don't let them off the hook.

I'm not going to fully let them off the hook. It was inhumane what some of them did on Twitter and I can guarantee all of them wouldn't say that face to face to Subban. I'm just saying it's extremely unfair to call a whole fanbase " typical american low IQ morons" because of acts of certain individuals. It's like me calling the whole Canucks fanbase "angry, violent Canadians who take to trashing buildings to vent their anger" because some Canucks fans rioted.

Anyway, I'm done here, this is only going to end up in a negative way.

They shouldn't be generalized though, no one can say ALL Bruins fans are like this. Just like no one can say ALL Canucks fans are rioters.

I don't think they are "all" bad, but I think, overall, they're collectively some of the worst in hockey. Not every single one, but their track record speaks for itself. It's not my dubbing them that makes it so, it's the ongoing stuff that SOME of their fans do.

And we take shots all the time from those who hate on Canucks and their fans. We take it and can also dish it if warranted. Let us have our moment, shall we?

I still say Toronto shouldn't have bothered with Kessel.

Dougie Hamilton alone is probably better than any Toronto defender right now. And just imagine Seguin and Hamilton.

Yep, Burke really blew this trade.

Seguin is already equivalent to Kessel. And Hamilton, as you said, is probably better than all of Leafs defence.

Did they (rioters) pay that day to get into the building?

Did the people who threw the bottle?

Who would you classify as "fans" if you had to compare the two?

Anyhow, the fans rioted how long ago? How about we focus on the here and now...we've paid our dues in this city for that atrocity. Let's talk about the Bruins now because the last time I checked, the Canucks aren't even in this thing.

They wouldn't have been downtown to begin with unless they were in favor of the canucks winning the game. Even if they wanted to just party they could have done that at home, they didn't have to come downtown from out of town unless they wanted to celebrate the possible win.

And yes I was downtown I was watching the game with my dad.

Actually there was a underground element that was fomenting a riot no matter what happened. I personally heard a few younger teens on a PoCo bus before the game talking about how to best flip a vehicle. It was stoked and organized by social media.

But.. I have to also say I agree that probably most of them were Canuck fans. Maybe bandwagon fans that just jumped on when the playoffs started by still, they were fans. If you grow up in the lower mainland, and you like hockey, you'll probably call yourself a Canuck fan. (whether you actually watch many games or not). Its too easy to call someone NOT a fan if you don't like their behaviour.

A couple of things. Hamilton sure looks good, Suban shoudn't have low bridged Thornton ( as much I don't have sympathy ...live by the sword etc ) but it rallied the Bruins for sure. Maybe the Bruins are just waking up. Memo to Gallagher ( just like Suban shouldn't have taken out Thornton ) keep your mouth shut and stop stirring the Bruins up. You do more damage than good. Price will save every thing he can see, get some traffic in front of him

Shades of the Game 7 against Toronto, when Boston gets on a roll with momentum they're just so freaking scary to play against.

As for those arguing the rioters vs tweeters, everybody has the capacity to be an idiot, every fanbase has it's fans who don't think. Vancouver is no exception, Boston is no exception, Montreal is no exception. I'd like to think however that the majority don't fall under that classification though.

Loved to hate the bruins but now I just envy their team and how sick they are. Almost like a dynasty but the same can't be said about MOST not all of there fans. Hopefully Montreal can pull something off and beat the B's but every single time they are pressured they come back stronger.

But I thought Toronto is stronger.
