rawkdrummer
I'm so glad we didn't give up any of our recent or future 1st rounders!
timberz21
In order for the Canucks to match it would have been Edler, Higgjns, McCann, Jensen, and a 1st....too much. well said
Dral
I should probably put down $50 bet on the Peg winning the cup now
avelanch
overpayment from buff, but it'll help them tank harder this year, and then kane will come back next year to help them rebound, so i guess it's all in line with their end goal. mangosteens
I don't know about this trade for the Jets. Myers is a nice player to get back, but they had to give up Bogosian. Close to lateral move as they are the same age. Stafford is a pending UFA, so while he provides depth for this year, I don't put a lot of value on that. Armia is a late first rounder who has looked OK in the AHL but hasn't been able to break into Buffalo's lineup.... Lemieux has potential. The first rounder will be a pick in the 20s most likely. Let's call Myers for Bogosian about even. So for Kane, they add a pending UFA 3rd/4th liner, two prospect wingers, and a draft pick. Winnipeg needs centers. If I was Winnipeg, I'd be telling every team phoning it's over, there's no way you can match
ManUtd
Strange trade. Really don't get why Buffalo would give up Myers only to get another slightly lesser quality RD of essentially the same age back. Would have thought they could get more for him from Anaheim. JE14
Phew. So happy the Canucks didn't pay that price. Not as ridiculous as some seem but still an overpayment.

TheRussianRocket.
The Peg lose the deal today and tomorrow. They'll realize a few years from now Kane doesn't want to be in Buffalo either and he'll leave in the offseason.
