The Sabres have some great young talent in the pipeline. If they can avoid the Edmonton model and surround these kids with some tough hard-nosed NHL'ers, they could make some noise in the next few years. I hope the Sabres do have some success soon. The fans there deserve it. If they have the types of youth the Canucks could use (say strong offensive D-man prospect not named Ristolainen or Zadorov, and big offensive center prospect e.g. Grigorenko), there could be a deal there. He's not going to trade blue chip youth for vets, but he's pretty much a "size queen" so dangling young-ish big guys in front of him could net teams a decent trade. Coming into his prime right as these impressive prospects are entering the pro ranks. If handled correctly by coaching/management, Buffalo is going to be a team to be reckoned with for years to come. They tried to tank the same way last year only to be bumped by another team in the draft lottery.. This is Karma for what the Sabres did in the draft to the Canucks..
