Funny.  He instantly helped the club and in a coupe seasons he was posting killer stats on the best team in the NHL at the time.  Will be a long time before we string that many 100 plus point seasons together again.  Best goalie we've ever had by far.

I still can't figure out where he went...

He'll be hard pressed to break the top 2 at 37 years old, but I could see him finishing 3rd in wins. Good for him, he's a great guy and has had a hell of a career. I remember going to a playoff game and him standing on his head, one of the best live games I ever went to!

unless his body breaks down

or his skills totally fall off

he will end up #2 all time in wins for a goalie

luongo will not quit till he gets that

Another win but Lu hasn't been great in awhile, dunno whats going on

Maybe not but a win is still a win and he deserves it,i'll bet the Canucks would take a win anyway they can get it right now and be happy on it.

Roys place in the record books is safe.   No slight on Luongo or anyone else, goalies just are not getting their chances before that young anymore.  Murray and Jones are exceptions, but they still are no Fluery who has the best chance at the record books, but only if he gets traded out of Vegas.

so you believe luongo will quit/retire before his contract ends?

he was injured last season and saw limited action

the season before he won 35 games

this season james reimer is the other goalie

i see luongo remaining the starter

and it is not unreasonable to expect/hope him to win 30 games on an improved florida team

that'll leave him with about 70 wins to catch roy over the remaining 4 years of his contract

unless he is physically not capable of playing i think he will keep playing

his ability to catch roy depends on how good the panther team is

they are a rising young team and i think likely will be good for the next 5 years

last year was a blip due to injury and forcing tallon to step down/iup

he is back at the controls

so i still think luongo will catch roy unless his body or skills fail him

but i admit i have not talked to luongo about this

maybe someone can tweet him :P
