What are the Canucks, like 5 years-old...The mean guy punched me ref...

If Sven thinks that was a bad no call, just wait until the playoff when you get punched like that every shift.

This team seriously needs to toughen up, play hockey and stop whining about the refs

The problem comes when it's a penalty one game and not the next. When it's a penalty one shift and not the next. All anyone, players, coaches and fans alike want is consistency. And they should have the right to point it out when it isn't consistently one or the other. The rulebook should hold up the same whether it's the playoffs or not. No matter the colour or logo on the jersey or whether you're an original six team or not.

Play the bloody game, and take the initiative.  Punch the guy first!  Kick his ass, before he kicks yours.

The problem is when you stop playing hockey like Sven expecting the ref to stop the play....it was obvious if you watch the replay.  He gets dumped, pauses, gets up, pauses and by then it's in behind Miller.....

like they say in boxing: protect yourself at all times.

Well said, Cerridwen. The officials are Jekyll and Hyde from game to game. They are horribly bush league at their professions but couldn't give a rat's ass because they know they can't be canned for being biased. It's the league's fault for not maintaining any level of competency.

The NHL hasn't been consistent since...well, ever. Whining about isn't going to do a thing. And every player whining about it in the post-game scrum isn't going to help this team's image of being a soft team, that's easily intimidated.  It's also likely not going to help this team's image with the officials - and believe me, they have one and it's not a good one.

You shut up and play hard. That gets you calls. That gets you respect.
