Miller has been a HUGE PLUS by KEEPING him rather than trading him away at the beginning of the season like U say...That would've made it a great year for developing how to Lose... I have not got the foggiest idea of what you are talking about...........no one said the "beginning" of the season, only "earlier on"......one month...maybe a month and a half, does not take you to the "beginning " on the season............ Now, you are entitled to your opinion, but I have believed that we do not have the offensive talent to have gotten into the playoffs this year, and most hockey educated GM's, hockey writers, and sports annalists, said the very same thing! It wasn't hard to see the decline in the Sedin's....... If you are angry, I am sorry.....but I knew this years out come, but to be honest....I thought they would get 82 points this season, because of Ericksson.........but that didn't work out.........but in his place Miller stood on his ears, and kept us from where we really should have been this year.....pretty much right beside Colorado.......or at least not far off So Miller a month and a half before the TDL, might have brought us a great return.......but I am pretty ok with keeping him, even at the loss of a good prospect or pick.....I am not bothered, but man you seem to be! sockeye Posted March 18, 2017 Share Posted March 18, 2017 Benning is doing a good job and building a decent prospect pool. As far as the Loui signing - no picks given up and nobody traded. That signing was worth the shot even at the big money given. Loui gets a bad rap but he is a versatile player with a good 200 foot game. It's only been one year. The 3 biggest returns in trades for depth forwards this deadline I feel were Hanzal, Burrows and Hansen. I think getting burned on deadline day had Benning finalize deals earlier this year. Minnesota payed a big price for Hanzal and set a sellers market that dried up on deadline day. If Benning waited on Burrows for a deadline day deal I don't think we're looking at the same return.
