And how do the storks that deliver them make babies?

They aren't delivered by storks, silly! They are shipped via USPS (or FedEx, for international orders). They are manufactured in the same factory that makes RealDolls.

No, but Krampus is.

Strange Fellows Brewery in Vancouver makes a dark Christmas beer called Krampus thats nearly 10% alcohol. Took the edge off my in-laws coming over...

So on that note, do you like craft beer?

I am not a huge fan, to be honest. Never really cared for alcohol. When I do drink beer I reach for sours though.

My bf is hugely into the craft brew scene, and has now acquired the belly to prove it. If you have any brewery recommendation for us when we visit Van please send them my way!

ETA: We're visiting 'round Christmastime, so we'll definitely have to try Krampus!

yah I'm getting there too.... luckily my wife doesn't mind, more of me to hug she says. She's my beer enabler.

If you like drinks on the more sour side, there is a great pub in Gastown thats called the Pourhouse that makes incredible authentic whiskey sours that I think you'll really love, and get the Devils on Horseback appie and you will be a happy person. Its only about a 10 min walk from Rogers Arena (http://www.pourhousevancouver.com).

If you want to start with a place where you can try a large range of craft beers, the Craft Beer Market in the Olympic Village is a great place to begin. Its also about 10 mins from Rogers (you can see it from Craft). Avoid Tap and Barrel in the Olympic Village, meh food and nowhere near the beer variety of Craft. Here's a list for more of them: http://craftbeervancouver.ca/breweries/ . I like dark beers so my favourites are Powell Brewing and Steel Toad.

If you want to try some of the best Asian-fusion stuff going on here now, try going to Bao Bei Chinese Brasserie (https://www.bao-bei.ca) again very close to Rogers and for a funky place for a drink after the Keefer Bar is a fun sort of spooky place (http://www.thekeeferbar.com). If you do go to Bao Bei go right at 5:30 otherwise you won't get seated in time to be able to walk over to the game.

Those are some of the best places I know within 10-15 min walk of Rogers.

Thank you! That's really helpful! We're going to be up there four days but only two are gamedays so I've been trying to figure out what else we'll do while we're up there. We're staying right by the airport so I think we'll have to SkyTrain in. Was planning to do an arena tour if possible and go to that big Christmas light maze.

yup for sure, anytime. And do take the train its cheap and you get off at "Olympic Village" station which is, you guessed it, about 2 blocks from the OV.

The maze is OK (its more geared to families with small kids), but this is a cool experience too if you can get up to North Vancouver at night: https://www.capbridge.com/explore/canyon-lights/ . I'm pretty sure these guys have free shuttles from downtown hotels too.

If you want to walk off some of that beer during the daytime you can go snowshoeing up at Grouse Mountain too or just take the gondola up and check out the snow.

These guys are really fun too if you like this kind of thing: https://forbiddenvancouver.ca/things-to-do-in-vancouver/
