Andersson. Stolarz. These are all players that I’ve grown attached to, for one reason or another. Giving any of them up is never easy. This is a sad day for the Hurricanes. Have been following Stolarz for years. And he really broke out a few years ago as, perhaps, the Flyers answer in net (prior to their new answer in net). His injuries last year set him back; however, after a terrific camp and preseason, it appeared as though things were looking to his favour again, even becoming the backup when Neuvirth got injured. However, Pickard being claimed spelled what looks like the end of Stolarz in Philly. I’m really hoping he finds a spot on another team, stays healthy, and becomes an NHL regular. Good luck and all the best in Florida. I would like to welcome Casey DeSmith to the organization. We are Looking to move one/some of the guys listed above (+ Babarshev/Carrier) for a waiver ineligible defensmen. This would greatly reduce our call ups/send downs. Until that happens, it makes more work for Nail. Do you want to be the one responsible for making more work for Nail? DO YOU!!?!? This makes room for a guy I’ve liked for a while who’s finally getting a legitimate chance as a backup in Garret Sparks. Feel like he’s gonna find his nhl game if he just keeps playing. Also funny story about Stolarz. I had been eyeing him a couple seasons ago for a few weeks and had planned on offer sheeting him. I think you are making a joke? @Nail Winnipeg Jets Assign Ross Johnston and Garnet Hathaway; Recall Brandon Tanev and Stefan Noesen. strange this ross johnston thing. was solid in 20+ games last season. isles signed him 4 years , he played well in the pre-season. now...didnt played any game ..and now with cizikas out there could have been a chance to earn a spot but the isles sign veteran gionta (who didnt survived the cut during the training camp) instead and let him play. further the isles have some talented guys in bridgeport ...fritz for an example was also solid last season and also in the 2 games he played this season. Taking over the Rangers I'm inheriting a very solid team but there is some work to do this year with Laine & Rantanen extensions, being up against the cap, a lack of forward depth near the bottom of the line-up and I see opportunity to improve our prospect pool. We'll be looking to move some of our veteran forwards & defensemen to clear up some cap space for the future while bringing in younger talent. We will be open to offers on any player, but not actively shopping everyone.
