@Tylez question about the buyout rules. The CBA simply states 2/3rds the remaining value of the contract but will that be amortized over twice the year remaining like the real NHL?

Also the last year of Suter's contract should be 2024-25, but he has a year beyond that on the cap sheet.

Welcome to Waiver Wire Radio Sportsfans! ~( They won't all get this treatment, I am just going to rotate up to five ideas through and then go with the most appealing one. The idea is that no one can bury a waiver notice, but where there may be confusion, or limited visibility, I intend to splash the waiver writ large, perhaps like this. Rush17 did nothing wrong, it is just some test views during offseason waiver scenarios.)

Waivers Notice: Nashville has placed Johan Larsson on waivers, to make a claim, simply post in thread and tag @Primal Optimist before 5:13pm Wednesday June 19th.

Sorry for the delay: Johan Larsson cleared waivers and you need to designate if he is going down or staying up? @Rush17

That is correct it is over twice the amount of years left on contract.

We will see how he does at camp. He can be designated to the A for now.

Nashville Draft Selections - Drop @ NHL Draft:

#15 F Raphael Lavoie (CAN)  #38  -23  (Edmonton Oilers)

#43 F Ilya Nikolayev (CAN)  #88 -45  (Calgary Flames)

A rough NHL Draft sends Nashville prospects tumbling down in the draft rankings.  We remain optimistic however these kids will rebound and prove they are both first round talents at the end of the day. We are very proud of our guys and look forward to watching their careers unfold in the Province of Alberta! Lavoie to McDavid maybe a thing of the not to distant future. :D

@Tylez These and all Waivers are being kept on page 1, 4th or 5th post down...in case you aren't tagged by the team designating where to send waiver clears, lol.

On the whole pretty good, real riser in Pinto. Couple late drops but meh, such a crap shoot.

Leason sank like a stone, but I don't care. I knew what I was getting with him. Could step in immediately on a good caps team. Every Scout report on Teply I could find unanimously had him going in early 3rd round. He fell to the fourth. Chicago got a pretty good steal there. Misyul was picked 18 spots before where I picked him, so good pick there by me. Gawanke is already signed and will play for Manitoba next year. All in all a pretty weak draft for me, no guys that look like studs but there's a chance all 4 develop into solid depth pieces.

The GM's have mostly been notified already, but Dustin Brown is available out of Arizona this summer, and the asking price is indeed reasonable. Enquire if you are interested, you will be pleasantly surprised, He has an M-NTC but will waive for: Vegas, Boston, Washington, Detroit, and Calgary. Also Montreal, New Jersey and Philly....hit me up with a private message on discord or here on CDC and lets get this done

Minnesota Wild Draft Recap:

@D-Money

#6 Alex Turcotte - #5 to LA

#21 Ryan Suzuki - #28 to Carolina

#28 Nils Hoglander - #40 to Vancouver

#35 Patrik Puistola - #73 to Carolina

#51 John Beecher - #30 to Boston

#61 Dillon Hamaliuk - #55 to San Jose

#66 Mattias Norlinder - #64 to Montreal

#97 Matias Maccelli - #98 to Arizona

Again, this draft was all on me. Happy with all our picks, as we got players that I targeted. Beecher is a personal fav of mine. Happy with the team he went to as well. Is going to destroy in Boston. Carolina had a terrific draft, and they’re good at scouting, so happy with them getting Suzuki and Puistola.

Nils Hoglander to the Canucks. Fielding offers.
