It’s not hard.

Petey and Brock on the flanks. Podz in front. OEL and Hughes on the back end.  3 passes and a shot, one d-man gets low before the shot to help recover the puck. 3 passes and a shot….

Passes can start behind the net or from the back end. Get shots through, don’t think about it to hard.

Love the idea of Myers in front of the net.

We had a big man all along....

Why not Myers in front, and petey on the point? Petey would have more room on the blue line to take shots at different angles instead of being stationary on the wing trying the same angle shot over and over and OEL seems to get his shot through mostly.

Myers for the screen and garland and Miller on the wings

Nothing with personnel needs to change, the mind set does. Players need to move around to create space, this stationary BS they have deployed no longer works. Our PK would be excellent if other teams played the power play the way we do. You don't need to take away players, just need to take away lanes. Lanes are easy to take away when someone isn't moving...

Amazing isn’t it? They have been doing the same crap for years with crap results and yet they still keep trying it...

At least the Sedin era would cycle off the half wall. Since then it's been stagnant garbage. Petey, if he's your trigger man may not need to move much, but the other 4 better be opening up space to get Petey a good shooting lane.

All you need to do is look at Washington, we all know that Ovi is the shooter, and Ovi scores a lot of PP goals...

We should employ a scientist as a coach, maybe he/she can help the team understand this idea lol, because the hockey people in charge clearly have no bleeping idea

I never understood the need to complicate a PP. I once heard Jim Robson say that the late Roger Nielsen, whose statue stands outside Rogers arena, made it as absolutely simple as possible.

”Put the puck on the net, and everyone crash the net for a rebound!” I have no idea why that’s so difficult for teams that are struggling on the PP to grasp.

The most beautiful PP goal I ever saw from the Canucks wasn’t aesthetically “pretty” at all. Trevor Linden’s OT winner against Calgary in ‘94. Bure with the nice low shot, Vernon can’t handle the rebound, Linden shovels it in.

Hockey is certainly not an easy game to play, but what you need to do to be successful is extremely simple to understand.

Shots from the point with a fwd high on each wing for deflections/passing opportunities and a fwd parked directly in front of the goaltender for screens/deflections/rebounds.

Middle fwds would rove the entire face off dot/hashmark area (on their side). Middle X would stay firmly planted directly in front of the goaltender.

Less passing than or current powerplay with an emphasis on Shots, Shots, and more Shots.

Speaking of Shots…
