Says nothing about Gillis golfing?

If he was out on the course on a TDL there’d be a lot more than a picture of him in front of a course, Vancouver media would have been all over that… probably just rented a room at a golf course as a war room.

Seriously bud?

It’s IN the article. That none of the teams were offering enough for Canucks players. What you do as a GM, is you work in your office until the actual deadline; not hit an 18 hole because no one wants to play with you.

You just won’t get it. And that’s alright.

Bless your heart.

I read the article… where does it say he was golfing? Once again… it’s as easy to believe they rented space at a course as a war room, in fact it seems far more likely.

I’m more than willing to be wrong, but nowhere do I see that he was out golfing on trade deadline day….

as far as no one offering enough, don’t forget that he moved a certain franchise best goaltender the day before that specific deadline.

Dude. That time, I was watching TV and Gillis was interviewed ON. the golf course. I don’t know how much nearer the practice of golfing you can get.

1st link is Reddit seven years ago.

I believe this was the interview. The media ambushed him on the golf course. He was sweating pints.

Once again…. Do you think there’s any chance the Canucks brass could have possibly rented space at a golf course to use as a war room…. Perhaps on the road?

If he was playing golf on a tdl Vancouver would have had a meltdown.

here’s a link to the interview itself. Looks like it was in Phoenix. 4:04 is useful for the sake of this discussion.

Kane helping the Oilers own the Sharks tonight..  soon the call to fire GM Wilson for handling that situation so terribly.

Kane was a non factor tonight.

Oilers took advantage of a flat Sharks team. Pretty bad game all around.

I guess any player who dosent post a point on a team in a game and plays 19 mins is a “non factor’

lol.

Why play a game DeNiro?

just play overtime.

he’s helping to balance 4 lines nicely in the very least.

Did you actually watch the game?

He had no impact on the outcome. Barely noticeable. I don’t know if he even broke a sweat.

He looked fine on the boards , fishing it out to the front of the net,.  Could have easily got a couple of points in that one if it wasn’t for the Sharks goalie saving 39.

I watch more than the shiny bits you look for it seems.

Nah you’re just looking for a reason to praise the signing and the Oilers.

Oilers easily win that game without Kane. He was a redundant signing.

Theyll still struggle against good teams.

Nah your just looking for all the reasons not to sign him..  you always will.

Next, someone will invent how he got Tippet fired by being a cancer lol.

His career is far from over , and he’ll be collecting from two contracts soon.

I’m quite happy for him and I hope the rest of his career goes well.

A point per game player for under 2m, sweet deal.
