SaveFerris
Trade One: To Minnesota: Connor Garland @ $4.95M To Van: Tyson Jost @ $2.00M 1yr Minn gets the better player, Van gets $2.95M in cap relief Trade Two: To Carolina: Tanner Pearson @ $3.25M (assuming he allows it w/ his M-NTC) To Van: Jesper Fast @ 2.00M Pretty even stats wise but Van gets $1.25M in relief plus they get a guy named Fast, how cool is that. Also, his contract is only one year, adding some flexibility for signing some others next year. Van gets $4.2M relief total

mll
Garland is not a C. Wild also can't really add cap beyond this season. Their buyouts increase to 15M in a year + they owe extensions to several value players. Garland also doesn't play the direct game Evason insists they play. Don't see why Carolina would move Fast when he's cheaper. Rutherford just said it's going to cost assets to clear cap. Alflives
Benning left us with several toxic contracts. JR already came in the radio and said we aren’t able to move out those contracts without adding assets. Assets we don’t have, thanks to Benning. So we are stuck. Thanks to Benning. cripplereh
To me yes Pearson has to go now to any team that will take him for cap room next year.
DownUndaCanuck
Garland to NSH for Fabbro. We save 2.5M cap right there, get our RD who is young. He's losing minutes to Carrier but can easily handle 20 minutes a night.

IF we decided to trade Pearson, on his contract and with his production and consistent play, he has significant trade value.
VegasCanuck
Question, how happy is Shattenkirk in Anaheim? To Vancouver: Shattenkirk 2023 7th round pick To Anaheim: Myers 2023 5th round pick Would give us flexibility to do some other moves on defense. We are down to a little less than 1 million LTIR space as we sit right now, when we factor Hoglander would come off LTIR and if we assume that Poolman will have recovered from concussion symptoms in time for camp. This would, of course, assume that both players would waive their modified NTC's for these destinations.
