Popular Post OldFaithfulCap
Media: TV: Sportsnet Pacific (Canada), Hulu (US) - with that boring as hell Oiler home commentary team - stop being scrooges sportsnet Radio: Sportsnet 650 Overview After a game like last night's it's hard to think of an encore, perhaps giving up less than 2 goals or scoring without Pettersson will suffice. There's too few superlatives left to describe the miracle of St Pettey but it's a performance that rekindles some outlandish hope in a season that still seems lost. The Canucks hit the road for one night only. Apart from the season beginning road trip, Vancouver have been quietly good on the road, winning each of their opening road trip games. The Canucks also have the best record against fellow Pacific teams (8-2). This is a back to back however and while the Canucks have had success in these, they barely escaped with an Overtime win against the Sharks after the euphoria of a big win in Vegas and they'll need to find a way to have energy tonight. The Canucks broke some scoring slumps last night with Miller and Boeser scoring and Pederson breaking a long 45 game drought. Delia is expected to start although Bruce didn't rule out Martin before last night. Hopefully we will see the return of Ethan Bear, extra motivated to perform against his old team. The Oilers have had a steady but slightly disappointing season, currently sitting in the last western wildcard spot 7 points ahead of the Canucks (from 2 more games). The usual suspects have driven the team with McDavid and Draisaitl numbers 1 and 2 in league scoring and McDavid leading the Rocket Richard race with 29 (7 goals ahead of Horvat). They have the best powerplay in the league and are near the top in goals scored. Like the canucks their defense and goaltending hasn't been elite with Skinner posting better stats than presumed starter Campbell. They won their last outing in Dallas on Wednesday, snapping a 3-game losing streak and it will apparently be Skinner in net tonight. Last game before Christmas, perhaps that elusive .500 will be under the tree for Vancouver tonight. MATCH-UP INFO Tonight marks the second of three meetings between the Canucks and Oilers this season: Oct. 12 (5-3 L @ EDM), Dec. 23 (away), Jan. 21 (home) The Canucks are 108-121-15-19 all-time against the Oilers, including a 48-69-7-8 record on the road. flat land fish
So looking at McDavids stat line 65 points on the season yet only +4. 30 even strength points so on the ice for 26 goals against at even strength. Is their a location to see that stat on its own ie even strength goals against on a per player basis?

YEGCanuck
Living in E-town I see a lot of McDick. If I was king of the world here is what I would attempt to do to win a game at Rogers Place. Commit one player on each line and on each shift to shadow him and Drai. Oh, and stay out of the box. Good luck boys!

Heretic
McCrybaby was offside. Best player in the world but has to cry like that - what an embarrassment. I hope the Canucks win just because of that. Go Canucks GO! 1 1 1
